No joke, not only did this song introduce me to Skillet & is my gateway into rock music, but this song is what got me into music in the first play, when I was little.
I was a teen when I first discovered Skillet. I was being taken advantage of, and I listened to this song as well as The Last Night to seek solace. Now, I am rebuilding.

This album helped me through one of the hardest experience of my life, we've I was 15 I was put into a boy's home and it wasn't easy. I listened to this album everyday, and still to this day I can remember the lyrics.

I love skillet because they do something I've never seen before. If a Christian listens to this song, they would think it was a Christian song. But if a non-Christian listens to the same song, they would think it was a normal song. So I am able to play this song out loud without making my non-religious friend uncomfortable. Most songs I know swing one way or the other.

Dude yes. Couldn't of said it better. This band is a band of geniuses. From a business standpoint as well as a musical one. They cater to the ears of the religious with their lyrics and at the same time they cater to the ears of just rockers with their sound. 2 birds with one stone!

Still one of my favorite songs because of the intro with the violins and musicality. Love the lyrics as well. I’m going to date myself but I was in college when I fell in love with them and honestly didn’t know they where a Christian Band. I wasn’t a big fan of much contemporary Christian music, I’ve always like disturbed and breaking Benjamin etc so the alternative Christian was super appealing. Plus it was a really difficult time in my life so I could relate the the lyrics and the genre I never knew existed. Still love going back to this time and time again😊🙏🏻

I was diagnosed with depression 2 years ago, I quit my therapy and medication. I’ve never felt worse. Skillet is helping me through this so much. I’m Muslim but their music keeps me going

I was 12 or 13 years old when I started listening to Christian music and my Mom introduced me to Skillet and now their one of my favorite rock bands! The first rock band I ever listened to was Nickelback, then Skillet, Evanecsence, after that I listened to Three Days Grace, Linkin Park, 3 Doors Down, Papa Roach, Fireflight, Flyleaf and Thousand Foot Krutch. My absolute favorite rock band is Three Days Grace, Skillet is second, Evanecsence is third, Linkin Park is fourth and Nickelback is my fifth favorite rock band!

@Xena Summers Sweet, my first rock bands was Linkin Park and later Skillet and then Thousand Foot Krutch I believe was next along with Breakin Benjamin and then Three Days Grace. You should try listening to Seether and Rise Against. If your into Christian rock or judt good music in general you will probably like Flyleaf, Thousand Foot Krutch and Nine Lashes. I really enjoy Flyleaf music with Momento Mori being bring my favorite album from them and Circle and Treasure being my favorite songs. Good music 👍
