3:40 There's only 1 Hammer hangers, from Archive Garage. Those Hh were version 2, our Version 3 is the highest clearance hangers on the market. You can see the leaf pack is spread out on the side with Archive Hammer hangers indicating it HAS MORE DROOP, but the Rago side the spring isn't even flexing. You should have measured it to compare.
Any pros and cons to both sets of hangers? I'm looking to buy some to add with the shock relocation kit from Archive,. Having a hard time finding a Rago hanger vs Archive hanger thread. Which do you prefer?
I will say that the archive garage hammer hangers that they removed do have the option for the cross tube which greatly stiffens your the ride and improves handling. I’m not sure that Rago has made their hangers with a cross tube yet.
The total droop and amount of travel (distance between full droop and full stuff) given the same spring pack is going to be determined by shackle length and the degrees of travel the shackle (visualize it easiest by looking at the bolt through the bushing) can make on the hanger. The more degrees yields more travel, note not talking about ride height. To keep brake lines and shocks from being used as limit straps, adjust both accordingly. Also keep in mind bumpstop height. Ideally one would measure full stuff and full droop. Full droop is where the wheel is hanging. Full stuff would be under hi side situation with the other rear wheel hanging and the same side front beginning to float. If I recall correctly someone else has done the measurements for BAMF, Archive Garage, and Rago Fab hangers with AG getting a few more degrees of droop. This was an article and a not a vid.
I actually just ordered a set of the Bay area metal fabrication hammer hangers today but after watching this video I’m second-guessing that. If I understood you correctly it’s going to be as close to factory as possible but do you still gain additional travel and ride quality with the BAMF? Thanks in advance.
As an instructional video thus is terrible....not saying this is a bad video, actually there were a few useful tips.... But for Rago to direct you to this video as their installation guide is just ..no....no torque specs, no included parts / hardware checklist, no mention or installation shown of the "tear drop" shaped reinforcement plate (which after more searching online found it goes behind the frame rail)
the best is archive garage

It was a biased and sponsored video. That’s why 😂😂
Sorry Archive is King and DRT is Queen
Shackle link says not found
Did these not hold up as well? I noticed they are not kn your website anymore.
They are just not something we do a lot.
Are all pro leaf springs compatible with Rago hangers ?
Does the rago add any lift ?
No it doesn’t.
May be a future mod for the taco. But for now wheels and tires, probably drive up to the shop later this week to talk to you guys about them.

@@nattykanari5771 any other differences to note?
Archive is pretty tried and tested with a good reputation
If you go with the Rago’s can you keep your stock or a 33” spare tire underneath?
With Archive Hammer hangers, you can fit a 33" diameter tire. 1 Customer said he fit a 295/75-16, and there is 33.5" between our hangers
@@archive.garagegood to know…weren’t you the one who first created these and tested them out?

I'd do hangers FIRST. They will make even stock springs ride a lot better. Also your info about the Rago having more droop is just wrong.

What rear bumpers are on each of these rigs?
Do I need extended brake line for this install?
Yessir. I will add the link you the brake lines in the description
Great video 🔥
I would measure to the lowest part of the tire. Looks like around 20 inches.
You all gonna sell the old hangers that were taken off?
Is that rear bumper from Warfab?
Want this!

Can someone just make a bad ass hovercraft already? These mods....
Sorry but this is not necessary at all.
Correct, you can keep have an awful ride due to stock hangers right up until you bend them offroad. Hard to believe, but it is a fact
First?
