  • In this weeks episode we encounter irelands changeable weather, repeatedly 😁 We also enjoy some beautiful scenery as we travel along the #wildatlanticway , have our first experience of the Gaeltacht, go county hopping as we leave Donegal, visit Enniskillen and one of Irelands best pubs, before heading further south and west, via Sligo and Carrowmoor megalithic cemetary and continue along the stunning Atlantic coastline. Enjoy 🍻 #vanlife #vanlifers #vanlifeuk #campervanlife #vanlifeireland

Thanks guys. It really is worth a visit. Just take as much time as possible. We’re actually just on the way home, the videos are a few weeks behind, and even with 7 weeks we feel like we’ve only scratched the surface!

The Gaeltachtai are a pit phony because they include areas that formerly spoke the language as the community language but don't really anymore, but Donegals gaeltacht areas are genuine enough though.Nowadays you often see an extra sign Gaeltacht Beo which means living gaeltacht and thats where the language is fairly strong and even then it may just be the language at home ,but english is spoken on the street.Having said that people who have little to know english in their 40s can still be encountered in some gaeltachtai particularly in connemara.

Cheers for that. I’m getting older now and regret my dad’s decision to send me to English language school rather than Welsh (his 1st language). I just think that Gaelic is beautiful though, both written and spoken. 🍻
