I'm playing lightning strike warden. I'm pretty sure I heal the enemy. x.x
eDit: Just wanted to mention a couple things. The PoE 2 engine is the same, but an updated version from PoE 1; it is better.
Using a vaal gem will not brick the ability, only when you use the active part of the gem (the vaal skill) itself.
