Vítor cardoso wow 🤩 that's the new sire v5. spectacular and beautiful and great and big sound ,,,,sounds spectacular and is passive well by sire. let's go up !!! Sire 💪
I’m guess it’s your amp, you got a mark bass 10s? Sounds punchy as hail. Thanks brother for the vid. Also is that B string action super low or is it the 34 scale? Sounds rattle or loose. Also neck dive? Thank you very much
thanks bro. My amp is the markbass Vintage D2, pre to valves. The action of the B string is very low and is 34 scale, very comfortable. No neck dive ;)
Not impressed with Sire V5. Got guitar shop assistant to play 3 short scale basses while I stood with my back to him. They were Hofner Ignition Sire V5 Short Scale Fender Mustang PJ My view on tone and versatility: 1st : Fender Mustang 2nd : Hofner 3rd : Sire V5 Sire was poor in tone. Looks pretty but who sees its look in a mix. Just didn’t have punch. Not versatile either. The Hofner was very nice to play with great tone and if I was on budget I’d would have chosen that. Fender Mustang was best for punch (using the P pickups) then tone versatility.
Hello, my bass is V5 and not U5, V5 is not short scale, this bass, which I do in the review is jazz bass and what you say ( U5) is PJ (precision and jazz bass). I hope I have clarified the doubt.
Yea I like the mustang, U5 has neck dive too, not sure about the mustang but u5 still sounds good in my book and the v5 sounds excellent in my opinion.
@@gsharpslayer3287 Because of the pandemic, music in Portugal is stopped there are no concerts, otherwise I would have already bought U5 and V10 and would have made a video :) But the U5 in Mint green it´s kill me eheheh :)
Thank you 🙏🏻 it’s 4,3kg, I sold this bass and later I bought a new v5, but I returned it to the store, because it’s weighed 5kg 😭 and now I have a new v7 vintage alder, 5 strings ❤️ but the bass of the video have 4,3kg and sounds a beast 💪🏻
Olá Vitor! Feedback desse baixo?
i love that roasted maple fretboard. i still can't decide if i should get a V3 or V5... is the loss of the pre-amp worth it? i'm planning to get the tobacco sunburst color
In my opinion the V5 is the best, because in passive sounds very good ( with some pedal pre you can put on active bass) and the neck in roasted maple on V5, it´s beautiful and very stable. But it´s my opinion ;)
@@vitobass23 thank you very much sir. Yes i also consider getting a pre-amp pedal if I want that active sound haha. That roasted maple fret is truly irreplacable
Depends what type of music you want to play... rock, indie, pop, edm, fusion, probably best go with v3, Sire’s most versatile bass in my opinion For funk and slap, some neo soul, I think the v5 sounds excellent The v5’s slap tone is the most Marcus Miller-y tone on any Sire instrument so far I think. I have a 4 and 5 string v3, they are great as I said for many styles and have the lovely darkness for rock and 5 string fusion that I love, I would still be over the moon with both of them even if they had just been passive with no preamp
@@mountainman8775 thank you very much sir. as of now based on my budget, i am leaning towards the v3. i'm not sure if i'll still pursue the more expensive v5
@Luster Zenig no problem, it’s interesting you mentioned budget.... the v3s are incredible basses regardless of cost, you’ll get studio-worthy tone out of them. Some players put their tone, contrary to their price, above the rest of the Sire range. This is perhaps because of the Mahagony body, the tone produced is very balanced and sits beautifully in the mix. You could happily charge four times the cost on this bass, if not more, the sound is that good
@@vitobass23 I’m between the V7 vintage and the V5. I tried them both today and the necks were both very similar to me, in terms of feel. And I like them both more than the regular V7 too! It seems like the main difference between the Vintage and V5 is the preamp and some cosmetic differences. What do you think? Is it worth 250€ more euros for the vintage?
@@TheBartostock you play live or you only record? For live the Pre amp it’s better for me and sound better, but if you use pedals ( compressor and Pre amp) the v5 it’s your bass 💪🏻🤗
@@vitobass23 I plan on playing live eventually but for the moment I’m just starting to record stuff and get better on the instrument ;-). I don’t really use effects but I’ve heard that the preamp can get in the way. The cool thing about the Vintage is you can still play it passively too, for that purpose

I bought it,this bass it's knackered.
Guess i would just need some time to spend some tweeking it to my specks. It seems to be more on the low end thou so i would to try and find balance

Thank you
Nice demo! Have you noticed any issues with neck dive on this so far?
Yes have a little but with strap it’s work perfect 👌
@@vitobass23 What do you think, changing the tuners with lighter ones would solve the neck dive problem?
@@virgilpopescu9478 no. I think one new bridge type badass or omega bass it´s the solution ;)

Hi Vitor, is this an Ash body version? Thx
It´s alder, the v5 it´s only in alder ;)
What do you think of this in comparison with the Sire V7 Vintage?
It’s different, because of the Pre amp on v7, but the neck for me win the V7 vintage, V5 and the last is the normal v7.

Bass Passivo?
yes, it´s passive.
The 5th string, how u feel?
The 5th string is like all the ones I've played in the Sires, one of the best I've found, very defined and very strong.
Is it heavy?
I didn't find it, it weighs around 3.9 / 4kg.
Doing Mac Miller too bad he's dead, RIP he had a rough life on drugs but this was his funkiest contribution to music What's the Use.
Hodari Daniels yes I agree with you 💪🏻😢🎼
