Picked these up when they dropped day 1. Thought for shure they would go fast like the regular elephant series usually does. Should start wearing them soon with fall coming.
i have these pair in non stretch i wear em for work almost everyday for almost 6mos barely any fades or contrast. where theres fades its bright purple.
I love the modern look of the denim on these. It has a subtle metallic sheen to it. Also, the denim is not slubby and I actually prefer smoother non slubby denim. The problem with getting into selvedge denim is the crazy amount of variety of really cool models and brands to pick from. Where do you start, and where do you finish? I just started and have The Weird guy Catechu Selvedge (beautiful color inside and out), Freenote cloth Portella 17oz black (17 oz of baddassity), and unbranded brand 14.5 oz ($100 and look just like other selvedge), and all of them are awesome. I tried on other brands and they are all awesome as well. I like the thicker selvedge, it differentiates itself from standard non-selvedge denim, and you can feel in on your legs reminding you that you look like a bad ass.
Sounds like have good choices so far. Freenote is a great company. I had a pair of Rios fit and they were excellent. Great choice on the Catechu as well. Unbranded is the best value for the money. They have raised belt loops and hidden rivets. You don't even see that on more expensive jeans. Now that you have a few great pairs you are in a cool spot that you could get something a bit outside the box as your next denim. I think I'm going get a pair of Kasuris, or greenest denim next just for something totally different.
@@vancanadastyle3365 The kasuri is cool. That would definitely stand out. I think I will go with a heavy denim for my next pair and use that as my fade project. I like the look of iron heart but don’t think I want to spend that right now. I have recently blown a lot on cool watches, cool boots, and now selvedge denim 😂. Maybe I will try brave star?. Thanks for the reply and the cool video.
At Dutil denim. They eventually did a good job. But initially left leg was tapered a quarter of an inch bigger. I was going to to let it slide but I took it in for them to correct. And they did a perfect job the second time.
The jeans are stiff, but they are very smooth to the touch on the inside, so they are not uncomfortable. I got the jacket elephant XS and for some reason, I really feel the elephant in that hahahahaha. I may have to soak that to take the edge off.
@@vancanadastyle3365 sounds like the easy guy 🤣. I really like the super guy, but the thighs definitely can be a little tight depending on the measurements. I am trying to decide between the Catetchu, Elephant 11 Grandrelle or the perfect blue at the moment! Hard choice. I might wait for the elephant 11 stretch though! Where in Vancouver do you go for N&F jeans? I just order off tate and yoko BUT it would be nice to try stuff on!
@@chasefranson8481 I got to Dutil denim in downtown Vancouver. Yes it’s way better trying them on in person just to be certain on what your buying. The Catetchu are sick as are the Grandrelle. The Grandrelle is selling really fast from what I’ve seen. Now that I’ve got these jeans hemmed I couldn’t ask for a better fit. 12.25 on the thigh, 7.25 on the hem.
Lol. Sorry man. I had Invisalign for 2.5 years. Even when I wasn’t wearing the trays my mouth was still fucked up. Got them out now tho. I’ve got an update for these ones coming too.
Sorry, but Naked Famous don't cut it, strange fit, to many marketing gimmicks, and don't last long, based on my experience with a pair I'd never buy again
I hear ya man. For me the exact opposite. The deep indigo stretch I reviewed I bought at the mall for 150 bucks.... they lasted 6 years and molded to my body over time. Everyone has different experience with goods.
You do not see how chrome and flashy the selvedge ID is on video. Its shines like its made from tinsel in really life, very cool.
I’m blown away by these so far. N and F really nailed it on these.

Yes. Both the X and XS went pretty fast. Glad we copped.

I thought mine were going to fade with a purple tint as well but they haven’t at all.

I love the super guy fit . 👍🏽
Super guy fit is amazing.
When will the next Elephant come out? I want a pair
They release every year but they are discontinuing stretch elephant.
@@vancanadastyle3365 Thanks. Maybe they come after summer. They look really good
Where did you get it tapered in Vancouver, and how was it?
At Dutil denim. They eventually did a good job. But initially left leg was tapered a quarter of an inch bigger. I was going to to let it slide but I took it in for them to correct. And they did a perfect job the second time.
Update on these jeans? I'm interested in seeing the fade progress!
That will be my next video. They are progressing well but I only wear in fall/winter as they are 19oz jeans.

I’m finding these super comfortable. They don’t feel rigid at all. I can’t wait to break them in more and do a review.
I wish a pair of these were available in 33 wierd guy. Unfortunately it looks like I missed out.
Yeah they went pretty fast on Tate and Yoko. Its pretty rare to find 19oz stretch at the price they were selling these.
@@vancanadastyle3365 I found a pair and ordered them!!!!!!!!!!!! A store in Columbus Ohio had them in Weird guy, size 33.
@@f1hotrod527 Sick man! Keep me updated how you like them. Ive been wearing mine all time. Love them.
Why don’t you get the super guy instead of hemming the weird guy to resemble the super guy??
I wanted a little more room in the thigh, but the hem more tapered.

@@chasefranson8481 My only complaint about Superguy - back pockets. Too big and odd placement.
I love your vidz but this one is hard to watch it sounds like you recorded while you were eating starbursts lol
