I remember Christmas 2002. All I wanted was a Red Eyes. My parents, not understanding got me the Lord of D tin. My dissalointemnt was extreme! And then a Christmas miracle I pull a hollo Red Eyes out of the last pack in that tin!
They obviously knew you would pull it so they wanted you to have a few different shiny cards instead of a dupe, they played 5D chess.

25:14 well, that happend to my brother too when we got tins at christmas back then, he was so angry about that. but he got another tin so he got his blue eyes. and you may not believe it, he pulled the blue eyes from LOB from that second tin. that was crazy. he still got that card :) good times :D
I def get your disappointment but the genuine surprise felt when you turned that card over was actually neat to experience. Really caught me off guard lol, especially after the build up with how pristine it looked.

My cards literally disappeared one day. I never threw them away or anything, kept them in a blue pouch in the corner of my closet floor. Went to take a peak at them and they were gone 😪

The Red Eyes Tin was the most popular Tin back in the day. I had a friend who got his mom to drive him to a card shop 50 mins away when we found out they had Red eyes tin.

God i wish stuff like this was more-affordable. I moved cross-country and lost all of my cards. Watching videos like these is the only way i can satisfy my craving lmao!

I liked this video a lot, because I used to love Yu-Gi-Oh! when I was younger, but then I played competitive when I got older and it felt like nobody cared about the more unique cards. This video helped me realize that I can enjoy the act of collecting even if I don't enjoy playing anymore. Awesome opening, and I guess pulling that Summoned Skull on that Blue Eyes tin was just bad luck (I kinda like Summoned Skull a bit more though).
Where did you buy the tins from? Please let me know I'm trying to get started again collecting

I was very surprised to see the original art Dark Magician come out of that tin. I was always under the impression the LOB alter art DM was the only original tin DM, I think, because that's what I pulled when I was younger after opening both.
There was a second DM tin if I remember correctly. The LOB artwork got reprinted in that one.
@@lovemym16 Yep, though for example, there was 2 Blue Eyes tins, one with the SDK art as the tin, the other with the LOB artwork, yet, there wasn't an SDK art secret rare in either, so, I had some impressions of the product that threw me off a tad

my older brother linked me this video today, all because of the summoned skull blue eyes tin, this is exactly what happened to me in a small town in northern Alberta canada. i had saved up money from shoveling driveways in the winter.. enough for the blue eyes tin. i got the tin home and upon opening it i recieved a summoned skull, i was heart broken. i took a long break from yu gi oh after this to be honest.

I used to have the Red Eyes, two Lord of D, and Dark Magician tins. My Red Eyes tin I pulled a Red Skull Dragon in the pack! Sadly, like a fool, I got rid of my cards several years ago… 🥴

Been loving the old school openings these past few weeks Rux! I've stopped playing around 2005 so these tins were definitely a great blast from the past!
The few Harpie Lady commons you pulled are all worth like $5 I think because they're all "original 👀" haha.
Also, since all these tin cards are like 2002/2003 stuff, a bunch of commons you pulled from all your tin videos were short prints but since they're unlimited it's hard to argue with somebody that they're not pulled from legacy packs - it's why I despise what Konami did when they decided to make all these legacy packs available in Walmart/Target these 3-4 years.
I know you already did an original vs reprints video but I would love to see you do another one for a future video idea since you have such a wide availability of original and reprint cards and I think it will be very helpful for the collecting community as well as new players who may be looking for nostalgic cards.
i.e. For something like Monster Reborn/Gaia The Dragon Champion: 1st edition LOB vs Unlimited ORIGINAL vs Unlimited REPRINT Card. One of the main reasons I ask is because I know in many cases Unlimited Originals vs the Reprints have coloring variations but I don't possess the physical copies of the cards to verify this myself.

The blend between ole and new was the best. Invasion of chaos and legacy of darkness. There weren’t just vanilla monsters. There were a lot of effects but everything wasn’t waaaay over powered.
I loved the color, feeling, and how nice it felt to hold a holographic dark magician and blue eyes in my hands, felt like kaiba and yugi, helped with my confidence funny enough 😂

First off Grats on the 30k subs man, like good job. Second Haevnt watched the video yet, looking forward to it as I said in previous video comments, my first ever tin was the Lord of D tin. Third, Im guessing around mabey 5-6 holos but thats me being optimistic cause we know how bad old pack ratio's were.
The artworks for the 2002 tins were not my favorite to be honest I loved the 2003 tin looks. Though again Id have to go with my first for the actual artwork for 2002 and that would be Lord of D with XYZ or DM being my favorite artworks of the 2003 set.

I always remember Maha Vailo to have something going on with the attack.
I specifically remember... Unless it's a Mandela Effect (Quick Effect): Whenever I would see a Maha Vailo the 50 on the tail end of 1550 ATK would always be raised than everything else in the ATK & Def zone of the card.

I remember how awesome these were when I first saw them. I had no internet so I had no idea these were coming. I remember how awesome it was to think I'd get the (then) hard to get Red Eyes and B. Skull Dragon. I forget what I pulled from them besides maybe a Flame Swordsman or if any of it was worth getting most of the others. In hindsight, the stuff like Lord of D. or Summoned Skull were definitely lame from my POV but this is still a huge nostalgia bomb.
I do know I never got nearly this good a pull from the tins on any given year. They were actually pretty unlucky for me on the whole.
Had the Summoned Skull tin as a kid. I remember my Mom and I pulling a super/ultra(?) Summoned Skull from the Metal Raiders pack too. Total nostalgia bomb here

It’s the first time I’ve seen one of your videos and I will say that it was entertaining to see you open up these old school tins full of nostalgia, memories and of course these amazing old school cards. I really enjoyed this video and I was hyped as heck when I saw you pull the mirror force and the blue eyes and even the B skull dragon! This just brought 30 minutes of just pure nostalgia and bliss!! It got me thinking of when Yugioh was starting to take flight and all of your friends would trade and duel these old ass cards haha!
