Metal Raiders was the 1st box I ever opened for my 14th birthday in 2008, it was a euro version at that time I didn’t know what the e stood for, but I just wanted to pull Mirror Force and I did it! I don’t even remember if I got Thousand Dragon or not but that was fun then.
Glad i found this video, i was just sorting my MRD 1st ed cards and i have a ton of valuable cards. After review: Solemn judge, heavy storm x2, change of heart, cata turtle, sangan x2, haprie lady sisters, mirror force, kuriboh, gate guardian, suijin, time wizard. I also have a ton of rares but the great moth stands out the most.
That was an AMAZING opening, so much nostalgia and classic staples from back in my early gaming days! Too many cards to choose from as my fav, I'd say it would be between Mirror Force and Change of Heart for me as I used those cards A LOT back in the day, such fond memories :)
There's something magical about the artwork of those vintage boxes, every time i see one is like a super fast portal to my childhood opens up and i can see myself buy one at the local market in front of my school 🥹

I fell asleep last night listening to this video and then had a dream that ruxin came to dinner with me and my family, but throughout the entire meal he wouldn't stop opening up imaginary metal raiders packs and yell out the names of every card in each pack. I woke up in tears from laughing so hard...ahhh I appreciate your videos man! Great stuff!
B skull dragon was the first holo i pulled from a pack way back when so thats definitely my favorite i always liked the cool fusions from back then they combined some of the best monster's

Late to the party but showing up for sure! MRD is such an epic set, but if I have to pick a favorite it will always be Summoned Skull. I pulled it from the 25th reprint and was really happy with it, I can't imagine pulling a 1st ed one!
I'm not to Say "pequeño moth" only BECAUSE it's the boss card, after that, change of heart could be an awesome pull this time and gate guardian or black skull dragon too, as a plus, any great ultra rare card still being Nice. Good vibes and pulls!!!
A lot of great cards in metal raiders but one of my favorites of all time has got to be Thunder Dragon, thought it looked cool as hell as a kid, it’s great in goat format, and you can play it to this day in Thunder Dragons
9/27/24 6pm lol I got in the mail the box that comes with 1 of each booster pack 25th anniversary. Lob, sr, mr, pvs, etc. in the MR pack I pulled a bass ass holo sexy Time Wizard. I was lit af.
Favorite metal raiders card has to be either Gate Guardian because I bought the unlimited secret from one of my favorite small card shops OR Change of Heart because that card was given to me by a friend back in 5th grade!
Cannon soldier is my #1. But really like launcher spider white magical hat pumpking of ghost suijin Sanga of the thunder an all the fusions are awesome
Even tho Pale Beast is just a level 4 1500 vanilla it's one of my favorite cards. I pulled it in my first ever booster pack. It was a 5 card japanese pack even pulled a holo harpy ladies sister but no the common Pale Beast was my favorite from that pack lol.
