This video has been highly anticipated. We finally got around to filming it for you guys! Well from the title of this video you already know why you are here! You are here to see our Top 5 Traditional gas Fireplaces.
    Number 5:
Coming in at number 5 we have the Ortal Fireplace. Why did we like this one. Well take a long look at it! It’s gorgeous! We see that the Fire Box is nice an open. This fireplace almost has the illusion of not even having protective glass over the front. We get a nice modern take on a traditional style! This fireplace is absolutely stunning. It has a raised log set that makes the firebox appear even bigger. A couple things we don’t like. We don’t recommend this product if we are wanting to heat a whole house. This guy has a good heating, just not as good as some of the others. As well this guy doesn’t come with any blowers.
    Number 4:
At Number 4 we have the Empire Rushmore TrueFlame! Now from this video you can tell that this thing is an absolute monster. This guy is a big Fireplace! And boy it’s stunning. As we look at this model we see that the firebox is deep and wide with a HUGE logset that fills the firebox horizontally. One thing we have an issue with is the fact that because it is so big the vertical space does feel a bit empty. The flames in the Rushmore are big but because of the empty space it makes them look at tad bit small. We do find that the Empire brand makes very efficient products. As a result that is a huge plus!
    Number 3:
A go to model from Napoleon. The Napoleon Altitude. This fireplace is our all time best seller here at Embers Living. Why might you ask? We can honestly say you get the most bang for your buck. You also get some nice but limited media options. It comes stock with a blower so you don’t have to worry about that one bit. The heater is above average and will get the job done as far as heating.
    Number 2:
Now at number 2 we get to take a look at Our all time favorite fireplace! The whole line up of Mendota! If it’s you favorite product why is it number 2? Thats a great question. The only reason it ranks just below number 1 is the fact that the price is not exactly affordable for everyone. You are getting a top of the line product that works better than anything else. As a result that shows up in the price. things we love about Mendota is the practically unlimated customization options you can do to make the fireplace looks exactly how you want it to. We also love the heater! This thing has the best heater out of any fireplace we sell here at embers!
    Number 1:
Coming in at number 1 We have our second best seller Napoleon Elevation! This guy is the big brother to the altitude. We have a better heater on the elevation as well as a better blower and more customization options. This guy will definitely get the job done at heating a nice big space. The price on this guy doesn’t break the bank as much as the Mendota’s either which is a huge.
Don’t forget if your in the Denver Colorado Area visit our showroom today.

You state that the Napoleon altitude includes the blower and thermostatic remote, but your website shows them as options.

Please add price to these different units. Base price for the fireplace without customization would be helpful.

I am just extremely curious: how do you vent so many fireplaces in the showroom? Do you have to make a new opening on the roof every time you add another fireplace, or can you somehow share one flue?

something I dont see you discuss is connectivity including use of an app. it seems like fireplaces are behind the times when it comes to smart home integration. please correct me if im wrong. Thanks!

You are correct! I find it better to just get a remote. The electric firepalce have more smart functions.

I'd love to see a fireplace that looks like I had built the fire. Not built from twigs tossed from across the room but with a few round trunks and wedges from a chord I had chopped myself and STACKED - not chucked into a wood grate with glowing ambers underneath. Have any of these manufacturers ever actually owned a home with a wood fireplace and chopped down a tree for heating wood? At $5,000 for a fake fire it shouldn't look like 70's Austin Power fake fireplace in front off a fake bear rug.

@@embersliving I Haven't built yet.. I am looking for land now. NM 6500' or so, or Wyoming. Small places are hard to heat with a wood stove. I am thinking of a high efficiency mini split HP as a primary, then when the temperatures get single digits to use a gas fireplace. I like the idea of a backup heat source.

    • @bucky5356

The two are extremely close. Both have awesome flames, CLEAN FACE, and minimal heat. I prefer Town and Country over the 2, buts it all comes down to personal view. The ortals new log set, is mind bending.
