Whenever I travel through metro areas, I always make sure I have a full tank prior to entering the area, and never stop in places like this. Never stop at places with trash floating around in the streets, never stop where people hang out in the street, never stop anywhere there's bullet proof glass, no bars on windows, and I avoid areas with lots of teens.
And if u stay in a metro area always get your gas during the day time and like u said if I see a bunch of dudes hanging out up there go to another gas station!
