Bringing back some memories! A lot of people suggested that I should make videos of IL-2 1946 aswell so here it is! I remember playing this game for hours when I was kid. Hope this video brings back some nostalgia. As some of you already know, there's going to be a giveaway when I hit 40k subs! We are almost there. Straight facts!
Gotha say this game was really advanced for its time. Especially the modding made it big. We need plane modding abilities for BoS
that most likely wont ahppen due to its gajin esq marketing campaign (buying individual planes)
These crashes are basically the combination between the weak durability of planes when crashing into the ground with war thunder, and the ability to not explode so easily like in IL-2 battle of stalingrad.

Aircraft in this game and War Thunder are very fragile when it comes to crashing onto the ground compared to IL2 Great Battles

I often wonder what the crashing animations would be like if the planets didn’t have paper wings or detonate upon impact, I still play this game and have 3K hours as of today

Why planes crash animations
Ah the Me-323, it's not well known but the front of that plane was actually modelled on Hermann Goerings body. Splendid compilation, there are so few decent 1946 crash vids around, understandably I suppose because it's old. Hope to see some Lancasters or Halifaxs at some point :) Recommend getting the VP-Modpack at some point, if you don't know about it already...
I haven’t used any mods yet but I’m for sure looking around for them!
@@Renzic Ok, well I only recommend that one for starters because it's easy to install, once to work how to extract all the files and it's gives you new aircraft, maps, graphics, ground objects and good knows what else. You will also need the first muti-patch that came out. There is something called the BAT mod as well but I understand it's a bit more fiddly to get to work so I haven't tried it in fear of breaking everything!

Man that game is starting to show its age.
the fact that there are planes the AI can fly that you can't is something that has always seriously bothering me with this game. Does anybody know why they chose to do that?
I remember Oleg Maddox saying something along the lines of only wanting accurately reproduced cockpits and gunnery positions for flyable planes, and that takes a lot of research and work so they released it with some non flyable. That was when the original game was released, more flyable planes have been added since and modders have since made all planes (including many brand new ones) fly able with cockpits often taken from other existing aircraft.

That’s the he 111z Zwilling. It was the crazy attempt of double fuselage aircraft at large scale and it was built to tow aircraft midair or do high speed bombing runs. 1 was built and broke up during landing. They also built a me bf109z but it was destroyed in the Düsseldorf bombing raid before it was even fitted with engines

Liberators crash land well
These are very inaccurate depictions of how aircraft react when they come apart in the air or during a belly landing.
I 100% agree with what you said about belly landings as well as hitting a fence at 5km/h, but care to explain more about planes breaking apart in midair. Thanks

Yes! This is IL-2 1946. It’s a game from 2006! I usually upload IL-2 Great Battles from 2014.

@@tyrano1197 The planes that I like the most are from Bodenplatte just for the
P-51. I usually play quick mission so I can't really give an opinion about the campaign. I actually never thought of a discord server before! I might start something like that in the future but there are some other plans that I really want to get going before giving discord my attention
