That has happened to me several times, I get tunnel vision trying to take-out something and totally lose track of time! I guess I need to set a timer to give me a 10 min warning might help keep me on track! PS Happy New Year!
Hey, shit happens. I've run out of time in situations like this one.. pick up the pieces and move on. You've got a lot of equipment to sell off to counter the loss of win resources. Plus, on a defensive map, you can call in less equipment as needed to cover. Cheers! HNY All!
Unfortunate on the time thing, at least you didn't lose your fighting strength. The maps feel significantly smaller as soon as the tommy's wheel out their artillery. what i usually do in a situation like this is mount some troops on my light tanks. and have them provide vision on the side and roll it around their backline. a moving tank is easier to spot but i can usually use the terrain or distance to go around and wreak havoc on their artillery. Risky but you can always dismount the troops.
idk if you're aware, shift+1 / 2 etc will bind that # to that selected group. It can be very useful to have arty on 9 or inf/ vics on 1-4 or 5-8 for example. Im playing on easy, im a noob and I am learning a lot from your videos. Just wanted to leave that tip if you didnt know. (your micro is better than mine by far!) I love how you can steal enemy equipment and weapons for subsequent missions. Also idk if true, but I think you can loot the battlefield once you 'win' by pressing continue instead of exit. once you have all the loot/repaired stuff you can end it (I could be wrong about that last point)
This is correct, you can steal everything after continuing. I, personally, don't use the hot-keys due to not being comfortable with it. I need to do it at some point for sure
Hahaha, nothing like a loss or two to artificially increase the difficulty level. Esp if you have damaged tanks and can't resupply them with a truck at the end of a battle (they will cost like 500 ammo so you can't resupply at the loadout; but then you need to man them, repair them and resupply them at the start of the next battle. The logistic effort, esp if needed at the start of defence missions, can add to the game difficulty). You just have to push forward after taking out a few waves. You can't take your sweet ass time if army command has ordered you to take the town by midday~ the difference is a 30 min game vs a 1hr game. I don't really rush any points at the beginning because that feels like an exploit... (you are essentially knocking out medium/large defences without letting the defenders get to battle). I like to put my squad in a spread out line, prone them, then crawl forward. Armor behind the infantry line. F key to stop movement commands when a firefight begins. Crawl them back when a hidden mg opens up on them and use your tank or artillery to knock out those guns. Can't push with tanks at the front unless you know they have no AT guns. You have to crawl back if there is a heavy firefight because your crappy infantry get shredded so fast on hardcore difficulty. You might be okay if you upgrade to blau infantry (4 research points, 375hp). Research long range artillery (the ones with 550 range) even if you aren't getting 7.5cm leigs. Knock out enemy artillery without having to waste time and men diving the back line. For germany, that is the 10.5cm sk (1 research after LeFH). If you aren't rushing a pak40 or flak36, don't you need to rush tanks or tank destroyers? Having trouble vs light tanks is a bit strange when even a 5cm pak or flak would rip into them let alone a 7.5/8.8. And do you need to recon so much vs ai? You want to light up the map vs players, but you don't need this vs ai. 1-2 men to recon the flanks and an officer to look at the main paths is usually more than enough. You need your infantry to crawl forward in a glorious line and draw fire from enemy artilleries and AT guns. Resupplying depleted infantry is pretty cheap.
I simply wasn't paying attention to time. I also had thought I got the 1st point earlier, which would have slowed the time way down. At the end of the day I just wanted to do something different and time got away.
Personally I like to try to rush the points on offense as soon as I can, casualties and artillery be damned, due to the reinforcements. I found the quicker I take the points the less reinforcements come and overall I take less casualties. Usually with the use of mortar or artillery smoke barrages. Then I loot the field and take time scouting the back of the map to find artillery once the battle is won and reinforcements stop coming. I love watching your slower and methodical approaches. It’s very different to my play style. But I was cringing seeing the timer go up lmao 😂 it was a good effort.
I usually shoot the first point, but decided to take this campaign slower and do something different. Never ran out of time before bc the one point slows timer significantly. Lol I cringed too 🤣
Hey man, really enjoying and learning from your videos 👍 I have a question, are there anyway to minimize the unit rooster on the left side, because it blocks the minimap on my screen ? Best regards
I'm not sure I understand. The minimal should be top left and roster on bottom left. Check the options in top left corner of screen. If the placement is weird I'm pretty sure there's an option to change where things go. Does it look like my screen?
Yeah it does, my problem is that my screen is a 15” laptop, so unit icons overlaps with the minimap. So if it is possible to remove or “collaps” the unit icons to the left, that would help to better see the minimap…
Sounds like the in-game screen resolution isn't correct to your monitor. Happened to my buddy when he played the game. Game just assumed resolution. Let me know it that helps
Hey man, changing the resolution did help some. Part from that, I switched the minimap from the left side to the right side... Now it works fine! Thanks for your help @@PuggoRebornChannel 👍

It was crazy haha
Unlucky, happy new year 🎉

I just started playing and following your lead for the German forces. I'm dimly aware of a clock ticking but what is the time limit?

I have had the same reaction to defeat when I was dominating lmao 😂
So rough ahha
