What are your pizzicato tips? Next one coming up soon btw 😋
I sometimes play pizz with my right-hand thumb
Thankyou
Imagine using your left hand so you can do both bow an Pizz at the same time
For the fullest and best sound, pizz about an octave above the note you are playing
would you wear shocks if you dont have legs?

Some day I'll learn to play violin... It is one of the things I want to do in my life🤗
Music truly brings joy! I hope you get to play soon 🎻
The earlier you start the longer you will have fun with it! So - why not starting - today?? You can search for a teacher and a luthier shop today, then you rent a violin there tomorrow and arrange your first lesson... Never wait for tomorrow. Tomorrow will also be tomorrow tomorrow.

_"Did this happen to you too?"_
Me, a steel pan player: *"why yes, it has"*
I knew this technique for a while already. However i still use the regular method since it's quicker to switch between bowing and pizzicato. I still use this technique tho when i got a long pizzicato with plenty of time to switch back to bowing
This is one of the first things we learned when I started to learn pizzicato
"Does this happen to you too?"
Me, a pianist:
_yes_
Huh, as a double bassist never really thought that some violinists didnt do that. Since we play pizzicato so much it is just second nature and pretty required whenever I play pizzicato.
Funnily enough when we do pizzicato while holding the bow youre not supposed to put your thumb in the side of the fingerboard
Same here as a cellist!
Yeah, it's literally how I learned to do pizzicato
@@AceOfStars0 remember my teacher being like "hey! Keep your thumb off the fingerboard while holding your bow."
@@kuru9157 I used to have worst, strictest teacher ever and she didn't correct my pizzicato 🤷
This way is the same way I learned in school, so idk maybe it just depends
perfect timing! i’ve been feeling like my pizz and my bow control has been a little off. thanks for the tips!!

It made me smile when I realized I already knew this tip! I came up with it when I had this same problem!
If you have this issue, try this out, i promise it works *wonders* !
Your amazing! Thanks.
I used to play upright bass, and this is what my teacher drilled into us from the start! We spent so much time making sure our thumbs were steady, and I heard the violins had to do this as well
Wish someone would give me a free violin lol
Thank you! This is very helpful😍
Ty Sumina!
Thanks for watching!
As a cellist I’ve always done this

I'm learning VIOLIN in school! I am hoping to buy a violin of my own some day but for now I'm using my school's violins!
Also thank u for making the video it really helped ❤
Very good.
Thanks for the tips!
This is going to help me a lot. I was strugguling with a piece with a lot of pizz.
I don't play the violin anymore but suddenly I started re watching twoset heavily (it's not that I had quit watching them, but now I'm just bing watching a LOT) so now I'm currently gathering tips and tricks and helps from all the corners of RUclips to improve my violin skills!
Excellent
POV you usually do this but your conductor said specifically not to
Thanks I mess up picking sometimes
amazing
Thank you
Whats this song? Its beautiful
I've learning myself
This is really help.
Thx
Your pizzicato skills are faster than my bowing's 😭😂
Guys this may work for beginners but please be careful. When you get to a more advanced level and start playing faster songs, the strings have a possibility to slit your finger. When I mean slit I don’t mean any small cut, I mean a full deep cut. Try getting into the habit of putting your finger not under the strings but on the side near the middle part of the finger board.
Does this happen to you
Me a double bassist pianist and drummer
Yes
I know I have a good violin teacher when this was something I learned before I even touched the bow (I learned pizzicato and plucking to get a feel of first position finger placement, then eventually got into bowing)
Thank you so much I searched up how to play a violin and I’m a beginner and I want to learn so thank you so much
I’m thinking about playing the violin again I played it in 6th grade now I’m a freshman a 9th grader
Cool tip
this was rly helpful for me bc i never knew if i was doing pizzicato right or not and no one ever told me what to do,, thank you!
Thanks for that tips

I was taught this in school since it's my elective. I didn't realize it, but my school is pretty skilled in music since there are people who play chamber music every single year consistently 😭
Ohhhh that is sooo damnnnn usefulllll, thank youuu 😁🥰🥰🥰
This is perfect...😍
I remember having an impression of the corner of the fingerboard
I learned this a long time ago and i agree works really well
Nice advice from the paganini teacher 💜
I love the violin, you can play both ways by vibrating the strings with the bow and plucking the strings.
I just bought my very first violin a few days ago after years of regretting not sticking with it. I totally forgot about pizzicato (haven't played since 4th grade and I''m 25 y/o now). I meant it when I said years. I've regretted it since 6th grade, but I promised myself someday I'd learn.
My tips:
1- pluck at a diagonal, moving slightly toward the scroll. This helps pull out a more pure sound and avoid the adjacent string.
2- I have a slightly deformed right hand which prevents me from plucking with my first finger. As a result I had to do one of two things. Either grip my like I would a rod/stick/rail and pluck with a finger of my choice OR keep my bow hold almost normal, with the slight change of plucking with my third (ring) finger. I found this lets me switch back and forth between pizz and arco quickly and accurately.
3- Thumb on the fingerboard is great for stability, horrible for quickly switching back and forth. I’d recommend only doing this when you have the time to properly reset your bow after pizz. Otherwise, great technique
I just started learning violin and I need some help so I started watching her videos and now I could play one song
Thanks I can now pluck the strings without looking like a noob

I play voila but this happens to me to so I will this helps me a lot
I play violin so imma actually try this
As someone in 6th grade orchestra this helps with single pizzacto notes!!!
Danke shön!
Excelente!!!
Came here for a tip, not only got a great tip... I also fell in love... That's a good service! LOL
"Does this happen to you?"
Me, a guy who doesn't play any musical instrument:
YES
me, a trumpet player: yes i understand.
Me a bassist: Ah my time has come
Interesting! When I was younger I actually was taught the opposite! Of course the thumb makes everything easier to be precise, but I was taught that plucking without the thumb planted would help me gain speed
My treacher already tight me this when i first started playing since we first started playing with out the bows to learn the notes on the finger board
