How do you know he has a disability ? Even if he didn't driving without insurance and hitting anyone who had the right of way and then trying to lie about it is wrong. If he has a disability or not is irrelevent and it is not right to accuse him of having one when you don't know.

$5000 without hospital bills; JJ knew he deserved that money because of that woman’s negligence.
I mean, stuff can add up quickly. Someone pretty much t-boned me (I was on a road, they were pulling out of a gas station and apparently didn't see my whole car there?), but I swerved, so they got me more at an angle. I was 36 weeks pregnant, so had to do the whole fetal monitoring song and dance, but was fine. Between fixing the car, paying medical bills and a cash settlement, her insurance company paid out about $10,000.

If they don't show up, the case is automatically decided in the plaintiff's favor so, maybe they think it's better to go and hope for the best (eg: the plaintiff not showing up) than to not go and definitely lose.

Some people just can’t accept responsibility for their mistakes, even if they wear a big cross around their neck on TV. If I hit someone with my car I would be crazy with guilt and shame.

I never miss a payment on my auto insurance. Or any insurance as a matter of fact. People who break the law because of lack of insurance or license don't deserve a break when they hurt someone or cause damages.

Why do people drive without insurance? If you can't afford it, you don't drive. It really is that simple. One tiny mishap could be financially devastating, despite the harm that could happen to you or someone else.
They drive without insurance because of their irresponsible attitude and feeling of entitlement: “I should be allowed to drive even if I don’t have insurance…”

I thought she was backing out the parking space 🙃 The fact that she was pulling out made it worse because that means she just didn't look. It's also baffling to me that people say the person was okay when they have medical records and bills from the doctor/hospital. I know there are crazy people out there where in maybe 1 to 2 percent of situations they weirdly cause injuries to themselves but even then most doctors can tell the difference between something self inflicted and injures as the result of an accident. So if she was suggesting that he went home and beat himself up or had someone bruise him I think that's crazy to say.
I've always loved the way Judge Judy rips into defendants who are obviously guilty, but won't accept being held accountable.

The second u have no insurance, ur done, especially in JJ court. I don't understand why anybody drives around without insurance. If you can't pay for insurance then u shouldn't be driving in the first place.

The same thing happened to my mom. A woman that was from the Inland Empire was in the OC and it appears she was lost and tried making a U-turn and crashed into my mom's new Camaro. The lady kept saying it wasn't her fault. So my parents didn't argue. They filed a lawsuit. And won.
I pulled out in front of this guy and he swerved to avoid me and somehow laid his bike down....that's clearly not MY fault...
