Aight I just finished ep 10 and hopped straight into this, honestly I'm really glad you recommended this to me. Not only was the animation great but the action was spot on and the story, fuck that's a solid 10/10 story. I've never really thought about how a character would feel after finishing a show, not sure why but I think it's because my emotions have been fucked in life through other things, but for this ending, I really thought about how Lucy would've felt on the moon all alone after re-watching her and David's interaction in the simulation. I realised that it must be so difficult to continue on after loosing the one person you loved and having achieved only half of the dream the two of them had together. Also just a thing about trigger, man I love how they use focal length in anime it's so good, like how the muzzel of a guns really large in the shot and the persons small behind, man I love that shit. Btw your fucking great at pacing scripts, like damn this was a clean ass video honestly really good job on that.
There is enough ambiguity with David's death scene, it being done in a transition, that it raises a few possibilities. While simply being killed by Adam is the most likely senario, there is a possibility that Adam was actually referring to the fact that it's no longer David's business if Arasaka wants to Soul Kill him. They could have come out and copied an Engram of David before Adam put a round in his head. But death would probably be the better outcome.
that does make a lot of sense, if he was made into an engram david would probably have lost it even further knowing that he'd never be able to see his "family" and lover ever again, being trapped in time pretty much while everyone else he knew would die not knowing he would technically still be "alive"
I’m partially talking about the meanings behind certain things in the show and game- picking out a specific scene and talking about it to show what’s going on that isn’t seen or heard immediately
