Rex fell in, to a deep well and then, couldn't find his way out of the dark. He didn't know, which way to go, cause he didn't want to heal his broken heart.
Clyde was a good man, from a way out land, with no past to haunt his shoulders from afar. He heard a cry, and from the corner of his eye, saw a well with stones that bore deep scars.
Rex tried to climb, the walls of his mind, but nothin' seemed to help against the stones. Light began to fade, on the life that he'd made, from the broken pieces that he'd had to start.
Old Clyde had seen, darkness as it gleamed, from a hole like Rex was in. He wandered over, to the watery window, of a man that wasn't meant to be.
As hard as he'd worked, he felt he couldn't earn, the loving feeling from another. So Rex took the glass, and made a sweet pass, over one arm and then the other.
Clyde finally looked down, into that well with a frown, and saw what he thought to be. The body of a man, who never had a chance, to make it like the rest of us you see.
    Life can feel like Rex.
    Life can feel like Clyde.
    Life can feel like Rex.
    Life can feel like Clyde.

@@HughEllisBennett Great writing on this one, you could have told me it was a John Prine tune. I especially like the change at the end where it gets a bit Avett.
