  • I've been living in Prague for over 2 years, and still have SO many places to explore in the Czech Republic that are just short bus rides away. This weekend, I took advantage of a sunny day to visit Karlovy Vary, a spa town about 2 hours west of Prague.

      It's apparently supposed to be very good for you because of the iron content. I have to admit, it tasted pretty horrible, but it's the thing to do!

    I should check out Prague again and see Karlovy Vary. When I went, the weather was dismal and gray the whole time, affecting my impressions. The park and architecture looks so beautiful.

    • @katielivingabroad
      @katielivingabroad  7 лет назад +1

      Gray weather in the Czech Republic definitely leaves a distinct impression. You'll have to come back in the summer, you're much more likely to get some sun!

      I hope that you have a good time! There's a lot to see in Prague, you don't really have to take a day trip outside if you don't have a lot of time. I have a video about my top 5 spots in Prague, maybe you can check some out :) ruclips.net/video/S6cziobZ8Js/видео.html

    Also, I haven't been to Prague but its architecture and city layout is sooo similar to Budapest, my home city! It is so nice to see that, it gives me such homesickness! maybe PRAGUE IS MY SECOND LONG LOST HOME? 😱😂

    Last time I and my wife were taking a bus to Cesky Krumlov at Florenc, when the tour steward by the side of the bus driver stepped down from the arrived vehicle and started to articulate a long long chain of Slavonic liturgical incantations, it was literallly overwhelmingly legendary to two foreigners like us, and I totally instantly went "duhh!" Btw, what's the story between Florenc and Florence (Firenze) in Italy ?

    Hey great video! First time on your channel. I was planning on visiting this town next month for about 3 days but I'm worried that maybe ill get bored. Would you recommend it for the young crowd?

    • @johnnygomez7063

      Czech beer - the best beer in the world, Becherovka - a herb liquor born here, Slivovice - which NOT a liqour - but plum very traditional brandy, spa with hot spring, perfect burgers close to the bus terminal - just ask locals, around the city are very close many spots for one day or even half day trips...

    Hot springs around the town? Rad! This would be so ideal for my tea addiction ;) How can we incorporate this in the US?

    is there any entry price taken to visit the thermal spring?

    • @katielivingabroad
      @katielivingabroad  6 лет назад

      Nope! There are thermal springs spread throughout the city at various temperatures. If you want one of the typical Karlovy Vary thermal spring mugs, you can purchase one from a vendor on the street, but otherwise, you're free to visit them all! The spas are a different story, those are of course by entry fee and treatment price :)
