    As I mentioned in your previous video for Gran Turismo 1/2- Ridge Racer Type 4 would be best played with the "NegCon" mode not only for full analog gas and brake, but also a special configuration window that should allow you to fine-tune the controls further for your wheel, including things like deadzone. Very useful for nailing the feel. Theres an example video on my channel showing it working with a Thrustmaster T300RS in NegCon mode.

      It gets even better with original negcon controller thru psx gamepad to usb adapter.

      @@jogg5804 negcon is neat but wheel feels best to me once configured properly there. love using the jogcon in RR4 also. only way to get force feedback in the game, but i know of someone who is trying to get that translated to wheels for an approximation of the jogcon's force feedback also, with a usb converter board called "Reflex Adapt"

    * Sega gt
    * Test drive le mans
    * Sega rally 2
    * Metropolis street racer

    Thanks for the video. Are you considering DOS games next? Subbed!

    For certain games you struggle with, you can try to lower the degree of rotation. Especially games with sliding tendency like ridge racer or with huge deadzones. Older games with wheel support are often calibrated to something like 270° degree of rotation since it was what most wheel could acomplish at that time.

    Glad to see the Wipeout, Colin McRae, Daytona, and Ridge Racer games revisited :)
    All very good racing games!😊

    Is there a way to force wheel support on a ps2 game using emulation in pcsx2? My favorite racing game is Tokyo xtreme racing zero and unfortunately it doesn't have native wheel support. I've always wondered if I could map the DFGT to the dualshock controls...

    I wonder how Diddy Kong racing and Star Wars Episode 1 racer would be like if you used a joystick, there was a joystick made for the N64.

    Can you play the games with a modern steering wheel on the actual consoles, so no emulation?

    Ridge Racer games are of their time. They have an exaggerated drifting mechanic, where you snap into a drift rather than a more complex physics engine that simulates car handling more realistically. As such I always find it hard to play since it forces me into drifts too easily.

    Big problem with WDC is that cars feel like they have no grip, like the tires are worn out.

    Tried Thrustmaster T-GT on Duckstation with negcon controller mode, but wheel rotation couldn't be assigned for negcon twisting, there was also no force feedback from the wheel in the settings, anyone could help on this?

    Need for Speed Most Wanted (2005) with a steering wheel would be an improvement, even if it was ported to PC.
    Wonder how Trackmania Nations Forever would feel.
