Tip: try playing the EUR/PAL version of Auto Modellista. NTSC version has worse handling. It's not as enjoyable.

Underground 2 and GT4 both look like a lot of fun with a steering wheel

Would like to see Need for Speed Most Wanted (2005) with a steering wheel. The added precision would help significantly IMO.

as an aside it looks like you may want to reduce the steering lock for some games such as burnout 3

Auto Modellista's USA version has notoriously bad handling even with a controller. Try the Japanese version. It has less content but better handling.

The problem with some games that have wheel support is that some will reduce the steering input in-game at higher speeds or countersteer when drifting, which means the steering wheel isn't 1:1. Something that bothers me a lot for some reason. That's actually probably why games like Burnout 3 feel bad. Because at high speeds you don't have as much control.
Also, H-Shifter support would be great.

auto modellista has a pretty weird story about its driving model. On release in japan and europe, the controls were too understeery, as it was advertised more as a drifting game. When it came out in the us under name "Auto modellista: US tuned", the game got an overhaul of its driving system, making it hella slippery. Issue being that they got rid of the drift tracks in the game too, so the game turned out to be a flop due to a bad management of its driving module. I really like its cartoony graphics and its car customization, and it's a shame that the worse decision for the driving expirience got put into it.
TL:DR it's not your skill issue PJ, it's the driving model's fault

I thought it was the updated version that got the more understeery handling.

You should try Driving Emotion Type-S, one of the earliest racing games on PS2 and also one of the cheapest Gran Turismo knock-offs ever. The game isn't really that good when using a controller, admittedly. Maybe using a racing wheel would make the difference? I'm not really sure, given that basically no one has even bothered to try it before. Thanks for the video!

I wish the Brook Ras1ution supported the PS2. Would be awesome if I could use my G920 on my ps2 with real hardware. I have an old Logitech driving force gt but that wheel is pretty loud, you can really hear the gears when turning. I think the G920 is a much better wheel.

Are you from the US or Canada? If not, then the GameCube and Xbox versions of Auto Modellista didn't get PAL region releases, but the PAL PS2 version has the same car handling as its Japanese PS2 counterpart. US-tuned came out in Japan for all three platforms, but contains the North American version's car handling instead, as well as bonus car makers and courses from that version of the game.

Funny little thing about HP2 PS2. Black Box was apparently commissioned by EA to work on the PS2 port. They were so impressed by Black Box that they were bought out and took the reins. Too bad what happened to them after years went by. I blame EA for their chaotic release dates and practices. Carbon and Undercover could've been so much better. As for the team that worked on the other generations... hehe... *_HEHEHEHE..._* EA's a dev killer. The Seattle devs were shut down pretty much after HP2's launch.

Did you try setting your wheel to 270 degrees for burnout when you play arcade racers you need to lower your wheel rotation to 270 sim drivers is where you do 900 ima download the game and try it out
