Teaching Becky on camera is a great way to teach your audience. I don't think most of us non-farmers fully appreciate the knowledge and skill that goes into something as simple as unloading grain.
Farmer Ben from England here. I’m a guy who suffers with really bad anxiety and depression. I just want to say how much I love your videos. I always watch your videos when I’m going through a difficult time. They always cheer me up. Keep up the good work.
Chin up lad, had a mate with similar problem, he got help and some meds, now he is so happy it's like he is living his whole life inside a Disney musical!
Ben the hardest part is admitting it, every day shouldbe a little easier now thank god every morning you wake up and can walk out the door to work be strong and you will pull through
So Farmhand Mike drove all the way to Minnesota for a RUclips comedy gag and a plug? That’s the kind of I’m-all-in, why-not, gung-ho hard work that built America!! My hat’s off to you, sir! 🎩
@@jeremysmits9784 my mistake . glad you like headlights lol :)) for me just a small handful is plenty . just saying . and thats due to the fact that if the headlights are to big they seem to just get in the way for both the female and male . when a female is on her back the headlights if to big seem to hang over the arms lol . i noticed many women get frustrated when that happens ... beg my pardon .
Farming has surly changed since I was a youngster on a farm back in Pennsylvania in the early 1940s . We used a team of horses to farm. I am happy for you that you have all the modern equipment to farm with. You can sure get more done in a day than we could. We would plow a single furrow behind the team, and be fortunate to get a few acres done in a day. When I was six years old it was my chore to milk the cow by hand as well as slopping the hogs Etc. prior to going to school each day, then repeating the same when i got back home. Each of us in the family had our daily chores to attend to. During the summer we raised most all of our food in a large garden. Mom would can so we would have it through the winter. I would churn the butter each Saturday morning, and what wasn't required for our use, Mom would trade along with the excess eggs, to the grocer in town for flour, sugar, and yeast Etc. or sell for cash, to buy through through Sears catalogue our school cloths and a Christmas gift each year. Of course we had things a lot better than those living in town since WW2 was going on. Every thing was rationed, and hard to come by. For some reason that I am not sure of ,we didn't realize how difficult things were. I suppose it was because it was the normal way of things at the time, as we all were is the same condition. Now I am in my eighties and wonder about the youth of today. I see the family farms are disappearing. What impact will this have for the future of the country? Big business and Government seem to be taking over, and in my opinion ruin more than they produce. I suppose since youth has never experienced what those who have gone before them have. They can't really understand what it cost those before them, so that they can have the rich benefits they have today. I suppose my generation was of the same as those of today concerning that matter. Please forgive an old man for rambling on such. I got carried away with thoughts of my past. I pray that God will provide all of your needs and most of your wants.
It’s glad to see your spirits are up a bit. I’m sure the harvest of 2019 will go down in history as a gigantic pain in the ass for you guys in the Midwest.
As a retired cash crop farmer from Ontario Canada I can relate to the long grind the fall harvest can be. You and your dad work very hard and both work very well together. Good luck with the rest of your harvest.
Thanks Zach: I'm a 70 year old retired CPA that grew up on a farm. I Love the fact that growing up on a farm taught me all I needed to know to succeed in life. Schooling just improved things. FYI: I've become addicted to your videos. I enjoy each one and can't wait to see the next. This one reminded me of how much my parents were willing to do for each other, my siblings and me. Love makes every thing grow. God Bless!
Canadian here non farmer I have been watching your videos for a few months I had no idea what a farmer today has to deal with Thankyou Truely Thankyou for being a Farmer
You should teach her more on camera. I learned more about how to run a grain cart than every other video I've ever watched COMBINED. Pretty cool having all the little stuff explained. Thanks.
It is nice to see both of you in the tractor together!! sounds like date night with all that talk about rubber!! lol I cannot believe the moisture difference in just 5 days of planting variance!! crazy!!!!!
It was nice to see the love of your life learning the grain cart operation. If you are ever sick she can fill in for you and you can rest assured that everything will be okay!
I listen to your podcast “Off The Husk” along with Instagram and watching every single video on RUclips. I never noticed how great you and Mrs Millennial farmers relationship is!! You two are a lot of fun together! Relationship goals!!!
Sir I have to chime in I am the farthest thing from a farmer but I must say I happened upon your videos as a suggestion and i must say the way you present all your content is very amusing but all professional all thumbs up great audio and great visual. Your dedication to farming is amazing to the point of someone staring from nothing and being a successful farmer dont stop what your doing.
Drove from Mpls MN to Montevideo MN today and could not believe the corn left to be harvested. Saw no beans. The corn fields that are harvested hundreds of round corn bales are in the fields. Saw huge flocks of geese and ducks flying - unbelievable.
I love watching your videos. You just took it to a whole new level. I never laughed so hard with me and the Mrs.. Very enjoyable watching both of you together, that's the way this world should be. She brings you into her world and you bring her into yours. GREAT VIDEO
My favorites are when Mrs. Millennial Farmer is figuring out the equipment with you. Love her northern accent and all her questions. Keep it going girl
You guys have an interesting way of going around the edge of the field. We always take the next set of rows in, not the outside edge. When the combine is almost completely full then I backup go over another set of rows and shell up to the point the cart has enough room to sit so I can unload. After unloading into the cart which is in the little nook I shelled out for him I continue on my way shelling around the field until I have to unload again. Depending on field size and if the cart can hold it along with the combine or not I will cut a path back to the trucks so the cart can unload and I can as well into the hoppers. I can go in either direction because of the way I lay the field out.
Zach; glad too hear that frozen ice is the same as frozen water. Ditto for that out here in NorCal!! lol {Cal Ag rocks!!!! We feed the world! #1 Ag state in the Country!!!}

That frozen ground sure makes for a rough ride with the trucks. We finished up with corn tonight. I'm glad to have Harvest 2019 in the rear view mirror. I hope we don't have one like this for a while. Thanks for the video.
Hi Zach, nice to see you in the fields combining. That frozen ground makes it better than the mud but boy are you bouncing around on those tracks. Will that make Spring planting difficult with all the ruts? Great to see Becky with you. Best wishes on finishing up. - Dean from Edina.
I just realize how Canadian you guys are, I have family in Canada and I was just talking to my sister and I am watching your video I hear the Canadian style talking it seems like.
