Fellow North Carolinian here. I have been following your channel for a couple of years now. I have a 15 y o son with temporal lobe epilepsy. He, too, does equine therapy, like you - also struggles with some aphasia. Your ability to look at the pros and not just the cons is what it’s all about and though it’s not easy I am sure, living alone, you are doing it. Where there is a will, there is a way. Keep it up.
Hi Paul. Your never alone, im a huge fan to follow you on RUclips. I look forward to your new posts. I Your everyday expierence with management of Epilepsy, is realatable through my day to day challenges of living with a seizure disorder. However think of this as a new found independence for you to discover possibilities to accomplish personal goals and new post content.
Hey dude. You’re quite lucky to have a great place in a great complex with great amenities! (ie: The gym, walking-distance shopping, etc) You just moved-in and for some of us it’s hard to navigate change. Personally, I have had a difficult time whenever I moved. It takes me several weeks to feel somewhat adjusted. When feeling down, think about those friends you love so much; they are important to you and that feeling is mutual with them.
Paul always enjoy your videos. Can't imagine what the seizures are like and my heart goes out to you. Hate it about your divorce. You seem like an awesome person. Things will be good to you buddy. Hang in there.
By the way, i have started a new hobby of gardening. kinda almost killed 2 of them because I mistook the indoor plants can handle direct sunlight...hehehhe so im nursing back a couple of indoor plants with burnt leaves...hoping they will pull through. Its a fun hobby that you might be interested in doing for your spare time and keeps you occupied from feeling alone. because plants are dependent on its caretaker.
You sound like you may be getting use to it? You are so right, pro and cons!! But some days not, can't wait to come and see and spend time at the beach!! ❤
Have you tried ketogenic therapy? Epilepsy is believed to be related to abnormal glucose metabolism in the brain. Seizures are also a symptom of hypoglycemia
There are hundreds of types of seizures. All with different causes and triggers. There is no one cause or trigger. Seizures related to hypoglycemia are typically non-epileptic seizures. That means they’re not usually caused by electrical activity in the brain like an epileptic seizure is. My husband is epileptic, and a type 1 diabetic, so he’s had both epileptic seizures and non-epileptic ones related to his blood sugars.
