  • JMG sound just introduced this new morphing plugin Tranmutator. Transmutator can be thought of as a simple crossfade device with 16 different blend modes. Each of these different blend modes uses a different effect for the transition rather than just volume fades like a normal cross fader. I explore some of my favorite morph modes in this demo crossing between a few different sets of tracks.
My favorite mode is the "morph" mode which is the most unique and useful in my opinion

thank you, I really like this plugin, I don't usually go for single knob stuff like this, but Transmutator is unique

How do you like this compared to the melda or zynaptiq morph plugins

I have not tried either of those, it is definitely cheaper, but also simpler. I really can't say though, but at the intro price this is much more affordable

Sorry for necrocommenting but this is the closest I've heard to kyma morphing comming from a vst. You can do crazy shit in csound or a similar language that sounds almost identical but it's a shit ton of work. It still lacks the "synth" capabilities that I'd like but it sounds amazing in comparison tbh. I bet they are using a similar algorithm in some modes
