This might be the best comparison video I've seen on you tube. It's almost the same parts I'm thinking about getting for my Seventy Two, except I'm thinking about getting the VO2 for intakes. Kudos!
Nice Vid, I just picked up a New 2016 48...love it. I plan to put on the same slip-On's, but I'm gonna leave the stock air-Box and just put a high flow K&N Filter. I think the "Ram-Air" effect and the pressure that small scoop makes, gives a swirl effect for more power. I'll tune it with an HD tuner. I hear guys who use the Heavy Breather actually lose power, since air is actually directed around the cone, and has no ram-air effect at all. Ride Safe...
+BeaglePower G Where did you find that if we change the air box we actually lose power? I'm looking for a Joker machine air cleaner with theses slip ons with the FP3
+BeaglePower G +Karim Jalloul All I can tell you is I've got A LOT MORE power by giving it more air and calibrating the air to fuel ratio with the FP3! I'm not so sure the "Ram-Air" effect is consistent with many other recommended performance upgrades videos and articles I've come across...
+Bill Schriever thanks! Wow, that' s quite cheaper than here, in France! A complete stage one made by the official MoCo dealer us about 1600€ tax included!!!..... In France, prices in the HD world are creasy!!! Can you imagine that a 2012 nightster in good condition, with about 10 to 15000 km is sold about 8500 to 11000€!!!!! I baught to an official dealer, 3 years ago, an XL883 standard, very good condition, stock, an paid it 6000€ that' s creasy!!...😡
@@billschriever One more question, I test rode a 48 recently and loved it, buuuut, my upper body was leaning forward and I felt stretched out with my arms being fully extended. My concern is that the forward leaning ride position would be uncomfortable for long rides. Have you taken this Sportster for long rides and is the riding position something you got used to?
LIONS 67. I have not taken the 48 for a long ride (over 2 hours). The set up is what it is, it’s not a long ride “comfort” bike. It’s a fun agile bobber...
Thanks. I used the specific map selected/provided for model bike and exhaust. Super simple. It provided immediate additional power via airflow. You can do manual mapping if desired.
@@billschriever Thank you for the response. That answer eases my concerns because on other videos, the Autotune mode on the FP3 has caused complications on getting the Sportsters to run optimally. I have a 2018 Sportster 48 and V&H slip-ons ready to be installed. This helps since I'm debating on using an FP3 or going to a dealer and have them install a Screaming Eagle tuner.
@@69FOSTER IMO unless you are looking to get into extreme detail from a tuning perspective, this process could not be easier. I'm not a gear head, I just like riding. The FP3 allowed me to DIY without the dealer and got immediate resolution on getting the 48 to breath without restrictions. She became a another animal, able to run free. It was quite amazing from my perspective. With a little research and following the directions, I highly recommend!
Can you tell me if upgrading to stage 1 screamin eagle air cleaner makes a difference when installing these slip ons? Or will stock be ok at least until a bit afterwards? Thanks
Phillip Crunk It'll work and ride OK, just not optimum. It just won't breath as good as it should. Generally, the more air in, the more air out, the better it will perform. One upgrade at a time will work though! Safe riding!
Bill Schriever Thanks for your input .I got my 2016 48 back in early fall & saved this video, so I'm revisiting.Loving my ride but i need these slip ons.

Nicely edited video, best before/after video I've seen to date...
I wish every setup had videos like this one
Thank you for the ride by! So many videos just revving the bike and not getting a good impression of the sound.
One of the better before and after mods
Video. And I've watched alot of them.
Perfect presentation! No BS. Just the essentials.
Awesome comparison from stock to mod. Best vid I've seen so far. Thanks!
My friend this was the video I was looking for. Great video.
Damn, you sold this upgrade...👏👏👏 Nicely done 👍.
excelent vid!!, the best comparison I´ve seen, was looking for this exhaust, now I'm sure I'll get it. thank you.
great video. nothing needs to be said. let the bike and the parts do all the talking. got all I needed to know in this video. well done
Vance and Hines... Best choice better look the best Harley Davidson Hollywood sound 💯💯💯
Great editing Bill, what a difference...nice work!
Beautiful streets, looks like a nice neighbourhood.
Excellent review , thank you
Stunning bike, great video
best comparison video on youtube good job :D
thank you bro, great video
Solid video. Thanks!
Good - you set the minimum standard for exahust comparison videos
I just bought the same slip-ons finally. But I need to wait until march to ride it. it's winter here in Canada.
It sounds mint now. Love it!
Those mufflers sound great dude !
sounds good,but whats the speed limit in your neighborhood? 80;

Sounds a lot better.
Would like to hear the before and after and then with the baffles out. That would be Awesome
Nice aspect vid! exactly what I needed! thanks bro
Brilliant video
I like the change. Do you still have the 48?
No sold it. Moved on to a bigger bike.
Beautiful
Nicely put together video
Nice and to the point
Great video thanks
Nice bike!👌
Did you ever replace that peanut tank with a 4.5 gallon tank?
pjamese3 No, left stock. Liked the look. Yes, this is not a long distance bike. 99 miles to the tank...
I l8ke how you edited the video to hear the difference!
Hi! Can you, please tell me the final cost for the complete upgrade? Very Nice video before/after!
$772 + Tax

I plan on doing the same things to my 2017 forty eight. Happy with the results?
Eric Cassidy Yes! The 48 didn’t “breath” well prior. When the upgrades were done she ran so much faster and easier!
great job bro . thnx
Nice.
Just for reference, how tall are you? I'm looking to see how I'd fit on this bike at 5'8".
LIONS 67 I’m 5’7”. I like the feel and the fit. Not to big, not to small, nimble ride.

0:13 Dude, either you have a broken engine mount or I really really am glad I never bought a harley
Great video! Another question, when programing with the FP3 Autotuner, was a specific map selected or did you program using the "Autotune" mode?

@@mdh1048 sold it a couple of years ago… sorry.
great
Did the neighbors complain?
No. They're used to me and my bikes. I try to keep it down ;)
I like your bike. I'm currently riding the Low Rider S and feel the need to get an exhaust upgrade!!
Did you re map the ecu?
Yes, using the Vance & Hines FP3 Auto Tunner with a pre defined mapping based on the new parts I added.
instead of that particular stage 1 filter, can you use any other for stage 1 with different shape or different brand?
Neit54 absolutely. So many choices out there.
good
Uh....maybe you should do this for a living, just saying..?I raise my Whiskey to you Sir!

hmm man nice mod
I like when bike become from 14/15 to just 14 or 15, this happens with new bikes... same with actual 18/19 bikes... funny
omg
I hear no difference
You are hearing impaired !
Awesome video thank you
