In her first music video, she's being controlled by the men in I Disagree. This song is a sequel to Lowlife. It's really cool. You should check that music video out. It makes I Disagree so much better.

To reiterate/add on to your take on this song, I agree that this is probably Poppy's best song, with regards to how she likes to blend genres in her music. And while I'm personally more a fan of her songs with abrupt genre transitions, I Disagree feels like a very good compromise between the post-genre music she's been releasing lately and music that the masses would enjoy listening to, and that's a good thing because the world needs more Poppyseeds. I'd love to see more songs like this and can only hope that we also get more of the crazy post-genre music Poppy has been known for in the past.

I honestly think I like Concrete a little more than I Disagree. I like the story of I Disagree though and how it sequels Low Life

100% agree. I personally love the jarring transitions of the her other kawaii metal because it’s so strange (in a great way), but I definitely do appreciate how much smoother this one is. I also love the Japanese chanting that she does because it fits in with the Poppy mythos perfectly

Baby Metal's cool for what they do, I suppose, but comparing Poppy to that, I believe does a disservice to what is really going on with her and her latest album (I Disagree... no pun intended). Really, the song "Concrete" is the only remotely valid comparison, and even that one kinda falls apart when you break down the lyrics. And the rest of the album? The music and songwriting? Waaay better than the novelty/sophomoric Babymetal, by any measure. (Imho)
Trust me it’s been months since this reaction and I’ve listened to her album and saw her live, I wouldn’t make that comparison again, she’s better than baby metal haha
