    This is a great caddis imitation and this works very well for all trout greayling a great pattern for brook trout, rainbow, char, brown trout, Cut throat and all the other.

    I love the place you set the hackle. I am in tying mode today..doing midges in the 20-26 range...going to give it shot...thanks for the idea....John..flies forever....

    fantastic pattern I tie something very similar just add a small hotspot on the hook bend. Really enjoy watching your videos thanks for sharing.

    I'm from nz and man the hare and copper fly is my go too. Bit of a different style than the traditional but looks perfect

    Excellent demonstration of a bead-head caddis pattern, a variation of the proven New Zealand hare and copper.
    Can you please advise exactly which dubbing material you use? It looks, to my eye at least, to be a natural dubbing, with nice variations in colour and fibre length, similar to hare body dubbing. I am aware that Wapsi make some beautiful dubbings with SLF and I an very interested to know exactly which one you use. Keep up the excellent work.

    Really reminds me of a Walt’s Worm, which is a good thing. Killer fly on the mountain streams of Western North Carolina and Virginia.

    awesome patter though I do think I would have counter wrapped the flash just to give it more strength but very awesome tie for sure I will be tying some for my box
