    Side point:
    What a lot of people, mostly people I know, don't understand is that it's very possible to enjoy violence in movies and find it the focal point of a film, without being "desensitized to it" or being perceived as a psychopath. Quentin proves this over and over again. It's a widely known fact that Quentin emphasizes violence in his films, specifically his most recent ones, and it's part of the cinematic experience and the art of it.
    Nothing wrong with it

      Clearly, it is not. It is video, not a still image. I see what you must mean when you pause just about anywhere. It is the effect of lights and shadows and make up and neck wrinkles. Most definitely, not cut and paste of his head from a magazine. There would be no reason to do that. If he could not make the taping, they would have rescheduled to done a satellite interview or even Skype-type communication. I give you credit. Out of all the conspiracy theories I have read, your is by far the most insignificant.

    I loved every other movie tarrantino has made bit just recently went to see once upon a time and to be perfectly honest I wasn't impressed. The chemistry and acting between Di caprio and Brad Pitt was excellent but nothing really happened? I was waiting for something to spark the film into life but nothing. Few little good bits in it I suppose, love the cliff booth and Bruce Lee fight, the final 15 mins or so when Pitt smokes the cigarette dipped in acid and fights all those cult weirdos but other than that..... Was the point in Margot Robbie even bring in it? Her going to the cinema to watch her own movie etc... Just found it really slow and hard to watch

      I loved the movie...
      The movie was about Los Angeles in the 1960s.
      Nothing happened?
      There were things happening in ever y frame.
      It was exquisite.
      It's hard to explain. And honestly - I'm a little intoxicated right now.
      But Once Upon A Time is one of my favorites.
      You have a full throttle standard when it comes to films. And probably life.
      Pull back a bit.
      Just a bit.
      Savor the wine, friend.
      Be well.

    • @tfpp1
      @tfpp1 3 года назад +1

      A little late to the discussion, but I would suggest doing some research on the time during that era and then watch it again. Read about the Charles Manson cult and the murder of Sharon Tate. Learn about how Hollywood was on the precipice of change and how, culturally, it was a sobering end of an era, both in Hollywood and in pop culture. Quentin Tarantino grew up during that era. The movie is actually a "memory piece" in my opinion. He's paying homage, while trying to be respectful towards the family of Sharon Tate, while rewriting history a little, while incorporating things he loved about that time, all wrapped up in a love letter to his industry. It's actually very moving to me. It's a wiser, more reflective Tarantino who is nearing the end of his own self-proclaimed retirement, and doesn't really exhibit the bravura and virtuosity of his more "youthful" films.
