Hey brother, how much does the plate insert reduce the cut depth? Are you stll able to have the full Depth of the cutter above the table or not anymore? Thanks brother.
Looks fantastic, man. Great job. Maybe adding two parallel miter tracks perpendicular to the fence in order to be able to use jigs (like a box joint one) is a good idea...
I've used a guide bush. The guide bush is essentially a circular flange, usually between 10mm and 40mm outside diameter, which fixes to the router base and acts rather like a small ring fence. The cutter plunges through the middle of the bush and the outside edge of the ring runs against the jig or template, to position the cut.
Ah, it's just occurred to me that you don't need a router fence, the table saw fence will do. Or do you plan to add a modification to the table fence that has dust collection added?
@@andyelliott8113 I'm still thinking in several possibilities. But defenetly will take advantage of the table saw fence. With dust collection for sure 😉

This is excellent Pedro, I've made a bench with the valcromate top, I was going to put my router at the bottom of the bench, but change it to the side of the table saw, I can utilise the excellent Dewalt fence. I'm going to make a wooden fence to clip onto the saw fence. Are you going to attach a fence on yours. If so will you be making a video. Once again thanks for the videos.
Hi Pedro thanks for replying, when I saw you putting your router next to the rip fence it made perfect sense. Its coming up with a fence that will just sit on the dewalt fence. I think it would make a good video. I can appreciate that these videos take some making.
Hi Herve, thanks for your question. Please subscribe to the channel 😉. If you are talking about the grey one, it's Valchromat. It's a coloured MDF but more resistent to impact and moister than regular MDF.
Obrigado Mário. Quis colocar aqui o link de onde comprei, mas parece que o vendedor já não está ativo na Amazon. Há vários identicos a venda na Amazon mas para este modelo de tupia tem de ser um em particular por causa da furacão.
Hi Ron , thanks for your comment, please subscribe the channel. I got mine from Amazon but the seller is not active anymore. Try to search Google for "aluminum router plate makita rtc0700c" but be careful with the distance between holes on the plate, they should match you model. For makita is a specific one. Check that.
Hi Daniel, thanks for your comment 👍please subscribe the channel 😉 i bought it on Amazon, but is not available anymore. But you can find it on Bangood. For this makita router is a specific model.
@@WoodYouDoItI think what he meant to say was that; if you had a larger router base instead of the black circle one you kept removing you could have easily crossed the distance without having to use scraps of chip board to hold your router up. Hope that helps.
Hi, thanks for your comment 👍please subscribe the channel 😉 i bought it on Amazon, but is not available anymore from that seller . But you can find it on Banggood. Consider that for this makita router is a specific model because of the distance between screw holes.

Any lifting solution that works with this?
Not that i know. I do manually.
Thanks man. Learned something new today. "How to cut sharp corners with a common router bit?"
HOW DO YOU DO THE CUTOUT WITHOUT A BEARING ON YOUR BIT? DONT YOU CUT INTO THE SIDES OF THE JIG?
