Why the kitesurf world cup was a disaster...

Today we talk about why the kitesurf World Cup in Gran Canaria was a total disaster. We are in an era, where we need to do everything right, to push kitesurfing in the world of sports. I know we are not football, basketball or Tennis, but we are part of the Olympics 2024 in Paris. That means, that a lot of people will look at kitesurfing the next months. With this attention we need a good kitesurfing World Cup tour. And what the GKA did so far, is everything then good.

Have to agree with you. I also wondered why the media which was distributed before the event was so poor and confusing and the 'facilities' looked like a garbage dump. It was impossible to properly see any moves during the event because of the angle and shaking camera. If I compare that with the Leucate Big Air event it is impossible to understand what happened in Gran Canaria. If they don't have enough funds to properly run an event them just don't do it! I know Pozo izquierdo and have windsurfed at the spot in the village (when I was still a windsurfer😅) and it is of rough beauty. Maybe Vargas would have been a better choice.
