"Just when you thought it couldn't get any weirder on this channel." Never once have I thought that, Nick. And that's why I'm subscribed. There are a thousand people who use resin to make projects, but none of them are as lovably weird as Nick Zammeti!
I don't think it's possible for Nick to have a limit for weirdness. And that's what's wonderful about him. (that said, i enjoy the diorama and regular turning protects a ton, as well).
I challenge Nick Ziametti to make a cake stand using sprinkles and cake decorations encased in resin for the top and wood for the base. Stay safe and stay awesome💜
Yes! Please try this! There are loads of different kinds of sprinkles Nick and you could use either plastic cake decorations painted with a mattifying polish (or leave 'em plasticky-shiny) instead of cake decorations made of fondant that'll probably melt from the heat of the curing resin.
I love that you document the entire process, including the mistakes. It makes me feel like it's ok to post my projects too even if they didn't work out exactly as planned at first 🥺
It's 8:23 in the morning and I'm craving for fast food - thanks a bunch, mate! Apart from that this is a super cool project ..... I wonder if you could do it with cake.... Have a great weekend and keep coming up with more crazy ideas please 😀Btw at 19:10 I had to think of Jeff Goldblum - wonder why 😛Bzzzzzzz
If you ever revisit this project, you could put a plate on the bottom and plate up the meal, might look cool! also you could remove the sauce from the packets and fill it with colored resin maybe!
This has to be the clearest clear you've ever made. Well done, I was worried about the ketchup and the wet fries. I'm so glad everything worked this time lol. I actually guessed right, that you were going to make a plate made of food lol. I cant wait to see when you're done.
Nick! Watching this video triggered an idea! I am sure you have seen "exploded views" of how something is put together where all the individual parts are shown in their relative positions, but seperated from each other (you know, like screw, washer, nut, etc.). How about doing another project like this one but separate the individual bits from each other. Something like make the ketchup as an individual component that you harden by itself, then "float" the different pieces in layers of epoxy where you can see all the parts. You might even be able to cover a bit of lettuce that way and have it in there too...oooohhh, and perhaps some onion and tomato too?
Nick, get one of them "stick" lamps, really really slim sort of tube that the wire goes into and set it into one side of the plate. Get a red Chinese hat style shade. Will be brilliant!! What teenager wouldnt want that as a bedside lamp! Its awesome!! Stay safe x
I woulda dehydrated it all first. Thats the only way I've ever seen this work out well in the long run, is u dehydrate it, then rehydrate it with resin. Also, for the sauces, you could've mixed up some resin to match each sauce color, and put em around. Even could've opened and cleaned out the little sauce pot and refilled it with a similar colored resin.
I can assure you that it wouldn't have gone mdy even if you left it unsealed for a month. If mold stays away from eating McD's, what does that tell you?
When Nick started this project I thought he's going to make a right mess of this, he's really making a meal of it, but the end result was brilliant, it deserves first fries for a real nugget of an idea.👍😏😏
I just need to say it was crazy watching you wash the nugget & fries. Your imagination never cease to amaze me. I would never have thought of this project. But... That's why I watch you! Your creativeness and the waffling, if course. ♥️♥️
Never have I thought this channel couldn't get weirder, in fact I look forward to seeing how weird it's going to get. Good work Nick and keep the funky and weird coming
I love it when I hear theme music from a different RUclips channel as backing tracks within a different video... It's like a fun RUclips easter egg thing.
I enjoy watching your videos. You are so talented at what you do and you make some beautiful pieces of artwork. Thank you for sharing your craft with the world! Watching from Virginia (USA). Have a wonderful day. :)
That’s pretty cool! Maybe you could’ve made up some red resin and drizzled on the fries, and then let that set, But anyway it’s really cool! Thanks a bunch that was fun!
Next time you cast food, you might try to find someone who owns a freeze dryer. (I would lend you mine, if I didn't live in Texas.) Some food items expand when freeze dried, but most fruits, veggies, meats and breads don't. It would allow you to cast them in resin without the worries that come with casting water filled items. Just a thought.
I'm just tripping on the fact their nuggets come in a bag, I've always gotten them in a box. It's always so interesting to see how things are done in different countries
@@dee1647 we have 4,6,10, and 20. Usually the 4 and 6 piece are in kids meals and they are boxed, the 10 and 20 are boxed as well. That's so interesting you guys have a size 9
Still watching and haven't seen the end, but thought you could have emptied the sauce, cleaned it out, poured resin in, and glued the foil top on with resin? Love it so far! Now - to finish the video!
I have seen dehydrated food succeed. I hope this project has lasting power and doesn't mold because it is rather cute! 🙏 Acrylic artists seal their paintings all the time, but you have to let the paint dry. 🎨 You could always color resin, let it cure and bam, it looks like ketchup or mustard!🍟
I dare you to drive back through and tell them they got the order wrong, hand it back and say you wanted a cheese burger with all the goods, jalapeno poppers, and a side of salad....dare you 🙃.
HEY NICK try to tak 7 different colors and make them in to different slices of pie shapes 7 of the different slices of the shape of the pieces of pie and put them together as the whole pie like one slice red,one slice green, one slice blue, one slice yellow ,and one slice silver, and one slice gold and one slice copper ,then put them to get with the pie cruse and a light right in rge middle of the pie a very bright light so when the lights are off to shine all the colors just a tiny idea
Lmao! Nick you are the best! If I need a smile or a laugh I know where to come. Plus not to mention I see a fantastic project at the same time! Thank you always for just being you! :)
I have been vegan for almost 58 years! When I saw the title I just went oh my God no but immediately hit the button! I haven't even seen the video yet but disgustingly beautiful.
I remember you tried ketchup in resin a year or two ago and it didn't work out. I've never seen any McDonalds food get moldy. I don't know what they put in it. I threw one of their burgers in the yard once and nothing, ants, flies, sow bugs, birds, nothing touched it. Thanks for the video.
I have an idea for the ketchup. Use the paint as pigment and mix up some red resin. Wait until the gel stage so it holds it's shape and gloop it on. Alternatively, use UV resin
Maybe if you do a similar project in the future put a thin layer of coloured resin down first so that it looks like the food is on a plate, then put the clear resin on top
Because you left that texture on the bottom it looks like the food is sitting on a microwave tray...just a thought, but perhaps you could make a "microwave" out of resin and put that inside to make it look like you're heating up the food..that would be a very interesting and cool piece!
I was wondering if you made about 1/2 oz of resin with red coloring, let it set until it barely would pour and then pour it on your fries, maybe some on the meat and a bit of yellow (mustard). A touch of brown might make the 'ketchup' look like S&S sauce. Maybe next time. A bit of green resin, let set to get thick, for lettuce (bunch it a bit to give it a ruffled look) and resin 'glued' to the meat (each layer of the 'burger' resin 'glued' in the position you want it (could be cockeyed/askew as they look in real life - not perfect like a commercial). If this video 'meal-on-a-plate' works out (doesn't get moldy), you could try this idea and other m-on-a-p dishes. (Hum, maybe some chow mein with the dry noodles(?), with a couple of crab ragoon and egg rolls (use thick rein to make piles of S&S sauce and Chinese mustard)?
It’s be interesting what it looks like in a couple of months, because by the looks of it the food has been exposed to air for quite some time before you coated it in resin, so there‘s a chance mold spores and/or bacteria from the air might have already attached.
McDonald's food doesn't mold. It's so packed with preservatives and other nastiness, it doesn't really decompose. Lots of channels have done experiments where they test its longevity and, honestly, I've never eaten McDonald's again after seeing it.
@@angieemm Larger burgers from McDonald's, like Quarter Pounders, will start to mould before they completely dry out. Similarly, if you store a McDonald's burger in an environment where moisture is retained (such as in a zipper-lock bag), it will also mould, identically to a homemade hamburger. Without sufficient moisture - either in the food itself or the environment - bacteria and mold may not grow and therefore, decomposition is unlikely. So if food is or becomes dry enough, it is unlikely to grow mold or bacteria or decompose. Food prepared at home that is left to dehydrate could see similar results. Look closely, the burgers you are seeing are likely dried out and dehydrated, and by no means “the same as the day they were purchased.”
