I have been playing PR since 2009 till 2014, squad since 2013 - present. PR is the best community and gameplay but it is simply limited by the BF2 game engine and outdated. Maybe one day Squad will be comparably saturated with content. One day.

I tried squad ... and it just seems so bare bones compared to arma..... is arma 4 really gonna have any competition?

well squad is inspired by this game and in my opinion isn't being developed by the right people and has the wrong target audience, arma is very fun having a wide range of community and official content making a more fun and sandbox like experience whilst still keeping that tac mil-sim feeling, arma reforger will never be like arma 3
