- Hi Friends! I talk a lot about the Sunday dog walk at Special Pals Animal Shelter, so today I want to bring you along with me. In this video, we’re walking dogs, petting kitties, and choosing giveaway winners with one of our cutest adoptables, Lemming.

"let's not forget the cats" THANK YOU! EVERYONE ONLY EVER THINKS OF THE DOGS! I`m not saying that the dogs don't need attention (they do) but the cats get at most half that of which the dogs do

Exactly! They're so precious and it makes me so sad that people usually just think about the dogs. They all need love and attention!

Just watching this Vid is an inspiration 2 Volunteer and before Volunteering get 2 Know what the Daily Duties r right.😃 All who Volunteer lightens the load of the staff and brings a smile on a pets Face when they can be walked.🐕🦺 I'm sure that when they are walked it's their favorite day of the week🏞️ and they look forward 2. Lots of fun 4 the Volunteers 2😂

This summer what I’m doing is helping out at my local humane society and starting a local dog sitter and walking dogs and taking dogs to dog parks business but cheap
OMG, I worked at this very shelter years ago back when I lived in Katy, TX. I just found your channel and watched some of your other videos this afternoon then I stumbled upon this video. Couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the shelter sign appear on the right as you pulled up to it. I live in Culver City, CA now. It brought me to tears.

So cute!! Do you have to be over 18 to volunteer? Cuz I love dogs but I don't know if Im old enough
At some places you might have to be 18 but there’s also lots that also have junior programs , etc. where minors can also volunteer !!

Most places you can also volunteer at 16 as long as a parent or adult is volunteering with you!
Hey In Ruff Company do you have any tips on how I can balance my new dog walking business and school because I am 15 and want to start a new dog walking business in my county. I already made a Facebook page and a website but I was wondering if you had any tips. Thank you 🙂
YES! That's great! Try to post as much as you can onto your social media. A lot of dog walking clients come in through word of mouth, so the more than people know what you're doing, the easier it is for them to recommend you. On Facebook I would say post every day. Oh, if possible try to get some business cards made that have your website and contact info. It happens ALL THE TIME that people will approach you as your out walking dogs, and they're more likely to actually check out your site if you have a card to give them. If you're just starting out try to offer deals and discounts to bring people in (Ex. second dog in the house is half price, etc). Get to know some of the dog walkers/pet communities in your area (most cities and towns have a Facebook page for pet owners and people are CONSTANTLY looking for walkers and sitters on there!)
How about try volunteering at a senior home next time. Less 💩 I think and they will actually say thank you
