- The madness that ensues at Ebisu Drift Matsuri events is something that I've always hoped to experience, and this year it finally happened.
It was my first time ever going to Ebisu Circuit in general, and it exceeded every expectation that I had. The pictures and videos don't portray just how massive the property is, with 10 different courses expanding throughout a giant forest. Not only was it insane to see that many tracks bundled into one, but the entire complex is extraordinarily picturesque and makes you feel like you've been transported into a secret little drifting dreamland.
My friend Stew picked me up from the gates on Friday morning and we went right to the heart of the action at the Kita (North) Course. Being greeted with wall rides, reverse entries, and sanpatsu, it was immediately clear to me that this weekend would be full of crazy drifting to an extent that I have never witnessed before. I began making my way around the pits, exploring all the different features and introducing myself to the fellow drift enthusiasts watching. This was still a practice/open drift day, leaving me curious and excited for what awaited us on the official days of the Spring Matsuri.

HelloI really enjoy watching your videos. It's truly commendable how you directly convey the car culture in Japan to us. I have a small question for you. Could you please tell me the brand of the camera and the model of the lens you use when creating your content?
Everything from the “Sandals in Japan” series will be filmed with a Canon M6 and either the kit lens or a 22mm F2.8 pancake lens. All other videos on our channel are being shot on a Canon R5 and using a wide array of Canon and Sigma lenses. 🫡

What I would recommend is like a month or two before you go just check out the websites of the tracks, they’ll usually have the schedules posted then!

Actual gtr’s aren’t common at drift events, though almost every r34 you see drifting is like a gtst or something similar, a lot of them made to look like the GTR variants
