Bruh the people thats talking noise don't know nothing bands. Its Thee love all day but valley held their own for there size. I hope they continue to grow

It's gonna take some years for valley for to develop a good size band.
A balance of wind players
A balance of brass players.
Percussion should be balance as well.
Valley sounds better under a female band director.

Yes yes, jackson state.. good job , you were clearly the dominant program... but what is good about this battle...valley defended their house, they were not afraid .. this was a good battle even though valley had less personnel... kudos to both programs
1. Nothing is wrong valley's arrangements ( really nothing wrong) its set up for their size. Can't have too many embellishments with a small group otherwise the music wouldnt make sense.
2. If they were 200 you all would STILL have something to say.
3. This is the best they have sounded in a while. They may not be huge but is the right direction
No they are not a large band but it doesn't take a million people to get the job done. I dont really understand the poor valley stuff because they did pretty good in a zero against them. Let us not be biased and give credit where it is due. I could talk about several of the issues Jackson had their songs but I'm sure several of you will simply overlook them because they are larger or because you are and were a student but I digress. Good job Valley continue to do your thing

Luv da Boom! This wasn't a fair fight at all. Valley please get your arrangements and your numbers up. More competition in the SWAC makes us all better. The band sounds better than last year but there is a lot of room for improvement. Coahoma Community College band is larger and sounds better than you guys and their program is a lot younger. I'm a Sonic Boom fan for life but I'm pulling for Valley to do better. You have no more excuses.

we did good for our size to choose clarity than just playing loud missing pitches and overplaying over our sections any musician should know this
JSU isn't bad i used to listen to their band all the time their band encouraged me to keep striving to be a better musician but being loud all the time isn't always good i support all bands the good and bad but blending together as musicians makes music sound more beautiful

Kentucky state put up a better fight against the Boom than Valley
Kentucky has a larger band but valley has way better arrangements. Which is really what everyone's issue is. Valley has a smaller group but still has better music
