Happy birthday ! (it's a little late haha) Thank you very much for your content. Every time I watched your video, I always can get some reflections on it.
Thanks for sharing!!! This is my 4th video in a row, very insightful. Please keep at it. The music was good...when you were in a red sweater in the conference room, but loud, if you could turn it down by, say 3 bars, it would go much better with your voice.
what’s the latest time you get out from working? does it vary depending on the projects you work on? and does the work follow you home after work hours as well?
Hours vary based on the project, but usually work does follow you home, so even if you leave the office at 7/8pm you’ll be online until 10/11pm on average. Bad nights go past midnight, good nights probably end around 8ish
Hey. Matt. May i know what framework u normally use for strategic source orchestrations? Does AFI framework helps. Do u think BCG is more focused on A ( analysis ) part or F( formulation ) part ? I am seeking strategy consutling firm this year in London The chellenge part for me i do have input and resource libarary. But to iron out the structure is which formidable and convincing is long way to go. Any recommendation for that ? I was trained by Frank T Rothaermel in his strategic thinking.
I'm actually not familiar with the AFI framework, so unfortunately can't comment on it - I would recommend checking out Victor Cheng's book "Case Interview Secrets" if you haven't already.
Hey Amandeep! I also enjoy going to the gym regularly. It's possible to still do it while working, but it's just more difficult. When I'm on a difficult case, it's hard for me to hit the gym during the week and I may only go once between Monday to Fri. But on the weekends, consultants rarely work and so I'll get workouts in on Friday night and Sat/Sun. This way I'm hitting the weights ~3 times a week, which is perfectly fine for maintaining my physique. That said, it's hard to bulk up because you're often sleep deprived / stressed, and so I'll be quite honest and say that if fitness is a priority, you can do it - but not everyone will keep it up.
@@matthuang21 Thank you very much for the reply Matt! So it is possibly but with a lot of time coordination. I'll have a look into it and maybe try interning at a consulting firm. Would you generally recommend an internship at a consulting firm?
matt i am a graduate age 21 its been 6 months since i graduated in bachelor in business administration specialised in finance i'm an indian but i want to get into management consulting in a good company that is known world wide but i dont know where to begin what are the requirements and how do i reach out to those companies sitting here in indiq please guide me.
Try to find people on LinkedIn who are also from India and work in management consulting, then reach out to them and set up informational coffee chats. They can give you a sense of what is required in your country. Generally speaking, you’ll need to network or go get an MBA to land interviews and you’ll need to prepare cases to get the offer. Don’t give up, you got this!
@@matthuang21 brother will they hire me as an under grad or mba is a must because if mba is a must then i'll go for mba before trying, i dont want to work in india i want to work in usa or uk as a consultant i'm confused if they will hire me as an under grad + fresher.
I personally haven’t traveled much lately because I work on a lot of PE diligence projects which have no travel, and the other projects I’ve been on were with New York based clients, so no need to fly anywhere. That said, plenty of my coworkers have traveled all over the country for their cases.
Happy belated birthday Matt!
Thanks brother!!

I want to join consulting but I love going to the gym regularly. Is that possible to do or how do you manage it?

Don't you travel being a consultant ? (just based my opinion based on your recent vlogs).... :)
