Nice man. Im thinking of getting one next year. Experienced any issues at all? I heard it has a special bolt for the cvt that should be inspected/replaced occassionally to avoid cvt problems. Also i learned there is a cvt air filter/screen that should be checked sometimes as well.
I've had lots of bikes and for touring there is nothing that checks the boxes like a Burgman 650. I've done 4 3000 mile trips and enjoyed every second. Highly recommended!
I realise this is an old video. BUT!! I have a 2011 Burgman Executive and I can honestly I have no complaints whatsoever about my bike. I've had it up to 115 mph in less than a quarter mile. I'm the 3rd owner and only paid $3,500. it's more comfortable than my old intruder 1400 ever was. and if it had the air ride suspension it would give the big touring bikes a real run for there money. It's probably the most underestimated scooter on the market . It embarres's Harley 883's all day long. on the open highway I switch over from automatic to manual at around 60 mph she drops in to 4th or 5th winds up to about 75 at around 5,000 rpm's and I tap the paddle a couple of times and the rpm's drop off to around the 3,500 mark and the speedometer jumps up to about 90 mph and I settle back down in to the 60 to 70 mph range and just cruise. and talk about great gas mileage. on the open highway I average somewhere around the 46.9 to 50.9 mark on a 4 gallon tank. I couldn't get that out of my old intruder 1400 even if I tried. I go out on bike events for charity every now and then when I pull in to the staging area every one with there big bad Harley touring bike and the gold wings look at me and just stare. at the registration booth for the runs I always get asked. Can your little 150 scooter keep up? To which I reply. it's a 650 nota 150 and are you gonna go faster that 45 mph this year?
Just cause you ride a scooter doesn't mean your not a motorcycle rider I have 2 scooters and a motorcycle as long as your having fun on 2 wheels....all that matters
Exactly My friend's have cycles I have my maxi scooter and honestly you can't beat it for buzzing around the city & grocery stops,, why drag out a big ol Harley I'll be a mile down the road before you get your hog out of the garage. 😉✌️
hahaha, I'm 62 now, first year on a scooter Suzuki Burgman 650 (2002), started in 1976 with a new Honda CB 350 Four, and many many heavy bikes did follow. You forgot the 'partmode' button: [power], more more fun when you hit that one! beated a Porsche Cayenne and many bikers who looked silly to me at my scooter, they know now the benchmark 650 Burgman, YEAH! I have another one too, for home-work drive, the 400 Burgman, perfect joy! Greetlings from the Netherlands.
As an owner, a "Burgervan" 650 is everything you mention, and very VERY fast for a "scooter" :-) As a longer distance commuter that machine is well nigh unbeatable (and there isn't anything on four wheels that can beat it from a standing start). The "power" mode certainly delivers the goodies, at the expense of slightly worse fuel consumption though!
I have a Suzuki Burgman 650 - the 2009 model. It has a CVT transmission with a manual mode if you want to use it as well as a power shift button. I never use either feature - I like the twist and go but the draw back is there is no engine braking you'd get on a manual such as my Kawasaki Voyager 1700. It also has an electrically adjustable screen that gives plenty of wind protection. The mirrors are also electrically adjustable - they can be closed in so as to not be damaged when parking or some suggest to lane split if that is legal where you live. I have had mine at a top speedwell above the legal limit of 110km/h - on a back road with no other traffic. The fuel tank hold about 14 litres I think and has given me a range of about 200kms. They are much higher revving than my Kawasaki Voyager or maybe it's the way I ride it but I don't think the fuel economy is as good. Still it is a much better option for the city and can serve as a tourer keeping up with the bigger boys on the highway and twisties as well. Take a ride and don't worry what other riders think - they are a fun machine to ride.
Thanks for your reveiw of the Burgman 650. I am a new bike rider and on a learner license. they have changed the rules here in New Zealand so we can now get certain larger bikes instead of only 250cc as before.and the Burgman650 is on the list. love the idea of the automatic 650, As an older rider,(57) i want something that can keep up with traffic and easy to ride. Am going to check out a Burgman at my local bike shop. yours and other reveiws have helped alot. many thatnks.
those speakers were definitely hideous! HAHAHA!!! I have a great affection for the Maxi-Scooters / Touring Scooter. At 40 years old, I no longer give a rats A** what people think of me on my Honda Helix. I have a XL1200C Harley and could care less what they think when I am on my "muscle bike" either. LOL If fact, I am going to be trading the Harley for a 650 Burg soon. "they are our younger brothers" ??? I see more white haired old men & women on touring scooters than 40 year old young pups like me. :-D Amazing how many people are so self conscious that they refuse to own a big scooter, yet anytime anyone actually RIDES one, they always seem to love them. :-D Great vid.
THE SUZUKI BERGMAN EXECUTIVE IS A AWSOME MACHINE I NO I HAVE A 2016 SUZUKI BERGMAN EXECUTIVE 650 AND GOTTA SAY ITS A PLEASURE TO RIDE EVERY TIME I AM ON IT
i just bought a suzuki burgman 650 2010 about a week ago. i trade it in for my suzuki vstrom 1000 2004, because of the surgery i had i can get on easy now. But man it drives really good soooo smooth i am very happy with the bike. gonna have lots of nice tours. if you look for something like this really try the/this bike it wont dissapoint ya ;)
Actually a very good machine. It happens that i'm learning on this bike on my riding classes. Really , really hated it because its soooo heavy, around 240 kg...but as the time passes i'm starting to like this big butt chubby one.
Isn't it funny that people forget all cars originally started out as manuals there weren't any automatics. When Cars started to get made that were automatic, the sales of cars went through the roof in comparison. Scooters are automatic motorcycles but no one was interested in them because they were so small and could not do highway speeds with the exception of a couple models. Just like an automatic car anyone can ride an automatic motorcycle because there is no clutch. Scooters are totally superior when it comes to heavy traffic of regular motorcycle can't compare to it because it doesn't have a clutch. I don't have any experience with motorcycles. So which type do you think I would buy? If you want to ride a motorcycle without the hassle and headache of having to learn how to clutch why wouldn't you look at a large scooter. The only complaint I hear about large scooters is the price of them but then an automatic car is also more expensive than a standard or manual one. The 650 Burgman seems to have a reputation and is known as The Cadillac of Scooters and from everything I've heard it's well named. When I'm in the position to get a bike that's what I'm going to get because no one seems to have something that's that much better. Thanks for the video!
Burgman doesn't look all that hot imho, but it's a very impressive scoot tbh. And their CVT is pretty unique. Actually going to testdrive one pretty soon
I might get one for 2 reasons - 1) my wife can ride with me (she will not ride a motorcycle, but has no issue with scooters) and 2) I can steal it and be like "yea, it's my wife's" because they are pretty fun
I've never even thought about a scooter other than comparing one to a big girlfriend. They're both fun but you don't want your friends to see you with one. This video just changed that. That sound could be addictive!
Sean, I need to call you to talk about the 650 Burgman vs. my next bike purchase. I currently own a Honda 1800 VTX "F" Spec 2, that I intend to sell this sping and replace with a Burgman 650...or Honda Silverwing. I'm open to all your comments and suggestions.
hey Sean I happen to own an 09 burgman after having owned numerous bikes from gold wings to harleys I have enjoyed this bike far more than any other bike my harleys friends used to make fun of me but not anymore seeing how they can't out run me it really pisses them off. the guy that said top speed is 110 ...sorry Charlie u are very wrong go to u tube and look up top speed of the burgman I think u will be amazed I've had mine way faster than 110 trust me

I cannot wait for my 2nd year to ride my 2016 Burman executive! Love it!
i feel those speakers are looking right through my soul.
I own a kymco people 250 and a Yamaha virago 700..........nothing wrong with owning a scooter as long as your on 2 wheels

well this burgman is sold, but if your local i would be interested iin purchasing your vtx 1800 go to my website srkcycles.com and contact me about it
I need to know how you have those speakers mounted just got a burgman executive and don't want to put them by the side mirrors or use the side pockets
That scooter looks like a Honda goldwing its huge 😁
The little train that could! what is the MPG on those scooters? Reliability? Nice Video
power mode= ludicrous speed!
+Sean Kerr maybe Tesla can get into bikes in the future.
"ludicrous speed" HAHAHA!!!!! one of best movies ever! Funny!
If you have the chance test the 2017 burgman 650 executive version because its even better.
thanks for the video... hey is the bike sold already??
well would this be a good first scooter????????????? I would plan to get it when I'm 16 then when I'm 18 I would get a Yamaha v Star
A vstar 650 won't keep up with a Bergman 650
It's a baby busa awe 🥰
Speedometer on my is 10 mph off reads 80 only doing about 71
Still have those speakers bud?
I need one of this, please send me the location here in Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx or Manhattan where I can find. 🙏🙏 thank you for your help.
Nice speeds🔥😎
Looking forward for a review on the yamaha TMax
them speakers make it look like there is a toy frog looking at you lol
He went from basher to believer.
What is the tank range of the Burgman?
Nice machine man!
What is it with Americans and the stigma of scooters? Here we wave at everybody on two wheels doesn't matter what they ride

Good sir, it looks like you are driving the Executive edition. those have the power boost option.
They ALL have the power boost.
Yup110 ive had mine going!

I think it'll go about 120 mph
It's Burgman not Bergman 😎
Would you sell on payments?
The bank will though
Yeah the speakers look like BIG eyes shearing back at you while you ride.
yes they do
Scooters are cool. Waaay better than cruisers.
As a proud owner of both I can tell you you're wrong
I find so many of these things for CHEAP of Craigslist
Them speakers are like a pair of creepy bug eyes staring at you?
Is it freeway legal??
marshall sanchez oh yes, it certainly is. It's got plenty of power to get on the freeway.
Brett Kepler Thanks bro
marshall sanchez you're welcome
Top speed in MPH, not Kilometers and MSRP pricetag? $3500 Dollars? I don’t think so
15 Grand new.
@@Bandit-Darville MSRP is US ~$11K, depending on financing yah it can get up to $15K with a 5 year loan

Antique 10 years ago.........
So is my 2003 Gold Wing but it still looks and runs like new. I also have a 2006 Burgman 650 that looks and runs like new. What’s your point?
I could care less if someone doesn’t wave at me or give me the deuce if I’m on a scooter.
lol! Power Mode! cool
POWER MOOOOODE LOL
It's a Burgman... not Bergman...
Yes, there is a bigger scooter.
Aprillia makes this...

I agree those speakers are ugly and in a dumb place!
Maxi scooter guys laugh at guys that ride track bikes on the road.
Paint the speakers black and it won’t be an issue. 🤣😂
Those speakers... No. No.No.....
I'd seriously buy one of these just to mess with people lol.
it's got a fuel gauge yawl!
