  • In 2010 I was a teacher in Sheffield at the age of 24.
At the end of that year, I left the country and profession to travel the world.
I had no idea what I wanted to do but when I arrived in Australia 6 months later. I knew I had the ambition to get out of living in a backpack and build a career for myself.
I fell into Recruitment (like everyone else) and for a year or two I really wasn't sure if it was for me.
It was when I moved back to the UK in 2012 and settled into my role at Venquis that everything changed.
I realised that whilst I was learning so much and meeting so many great people, I was financially entering a world I didn't even know existed.
In my 3rd year in London, I billed over £700k and made more money in a single month than I did in my final year as a teacher!
    Crazy isn't it!
For me, being directly rewarded for your performance at work was something I simply fell in love with.

You think he’s lying? Recruitment consulting is a sales role. If you’re really good, anyone can get fat commissions

So ur an idiot? There a 50k sign on bonus just for putting ur name on the paper, the military is good money for those brave enough to attempt it.

@@samfiorenza1207it’s a sign he’s likely lying, via exaggeration, yes. Don’t fully trust salesmen, especially if they’re good.

@@madams989 I do recruitment now. Only done it for a year. I have earned 15k just in commission. And it hasn’t been a good year. I have full confidence he’s telling the truth truth.
