Thanks for your visit. Indeed, It's more fun for my English viewers to do a English video, as Dutch is not such a well known language trough the world. I love my new speakers, and i have another review in the planning reviewing my JBL Boombox 3, witch its awesome sound quality for such a decently sized speaker that runs on batteries and also is able to play plugged with a bit more music power if you use the mains. Cool for listening to music when you use your phone and bluetooth.

You're welcome. It was nice to do, and it's nice to help people, so maybe after watching a few reviews, everyone can decide what is important and what you expect from a line array speaker.

Good day Ronald, have you been able to test your stereo Stagepas 1K MKII PA System in a larger room or outdoors yet? Have you found it difficult to set up for stereo sound? I think for me the biggest disappointment in the Stagepas MKII is that there is not a graphic or parametric EQ for the main output; the Speech-Music-Club knob does not offer much in terms of shaping the overall EQ of the main output. The 4 band parametric EQ for each channel is nice but it seems that it would have been very easy for Yamaha to include something very similiar for the main output as well. Still, would be interested in a follow up review after 6 months with your MKII set up. Cheers. - Richard

Thanks for your visit and questions. A follow up review to add more information will be added as soon as i also had the chance to use them outside, like in a outdoor performance or keyboard workshop. Using the speakers in a big hall works fine. I agree, it should be nice if they made the EQ more inventive, like with more sliders, instead of how they do it now in the app. The advantage is that if you get to grips with how this works, for each input you can create save states, so you can make EQ settings for for instance a keyboard, a phone (paired trough bluetooth) or a microphone. Then you can use the app to swap them as needed.
Setting them up in stereo is easy: Buy a cable to connect the Link Out from speaker 1 with the Link input that is under the Mic/Line 1 socket on speaker 2. If you also want to use the inputs from the other speaker, you have to have a second cable to do this from the Link Out on speaker 2 to the Link input under the Mic/Line 1 socket on speaker 1. Now all you have to do is press the Stereo button on both speakers, so the orange LED is on. Now your speakers are in stereo.
If you have a keyboard connected to the stereo input, and also have a Bluetooth connection, both are on the same channel, so they both use the same EQ settings on the app. So i have one adjustment for the Bluetooth, and one for my keyboards. My mic is connected to the keyboard, so no EQ needed for that, as i have this done in the keyboard EQ.
For a big hall, i am really happy with the speakers. Due to the 170 degree sound spread, you have good sound all around you when you are on a stage, pointing the speakers towards the audience. I use simple Yamaha Genos 2 monitor speakers for my own sound. This works great for me.
Hope this helps. As soon as i had the chance to play/perform/keyboard workshop outside, i will do a second video with all the above mentioned info included, but also with my findings on how they perform out in the open. Just don't expect a true 1100 watt performance per speaker. I don't know how they measure this, but when i was verry young (around 18 or so, now i am 58) i heard two 1000 watt speakers (RMS) and they where MUCH louder than what my current speakers can hande. But for what i am using them for, they fit the job perfectly, and i love the fact they are from plastic, and per speaker don't weigh more than a bundle of cement (sow below 25 KG) and this with the free carrying bag included. I love how portable they are, but still packs a good punch in the bass department when set up properly.
      Kind regards, Ronald.

Would you recommend this speaker setup for the Genos2 at home? I have the Stagepas600BT with a small subwoofer, but I like the Stagepas 1 MKII and hope to get more bass with 2 subwoofers. Do you think the sound is "tiny" with the slim speakers at top? How would you rate the overall sound of the Genos2 with the Stagepas 1K MKII- do you think it's "overkill"? What about fan noise - is it a problem? (like my 600BT where the fan noise is loud) Thank you🙂

Great question. I also had the Stagepass 600 with a EV 12 inch subwoofer. You are right in saying the cooling fan in the mixing table was loud. I played those speakers a bit to loud for in a small home, but i did not wanted to hear the fan noice. Now with those new Stagepas 1K MKII there's no fan noice, and when you use the Stagepas Controller app on your phone or tablet, you can easilly adjust the EQ settings.
No, the top speakers do not sound to tiney, as with the EQ settings in the Genos 2 and also in the Stagepas 1K MKII, you can get the exact sound you want. When it comes to music power, of course 2x 1100 watt is overkill in a small room that measures 4x5 meter, but even at low volume, the sound remains awesome, but now i can take them with me and play bigger venues or keyboard meetings. So yes, you can use the Stagepas 1K MKII at home, and due to no more fan noice, it's also more fun to play them even at a low volume. I also use my phone by bluetooth to play my music on them, sounds awesome as well! Remote controlling them by using the app is really cool, and when you use those speakers at a wedding, and you connect a microphone on one of the Stagepas 1K MKII speakers, you can use the "Ducker", so when someone wants to make a anouncement, the music that's beeing played will duck out of the way when someones starts to talk in the microphone, and when they stop talking, the music is automaticly be put back on its normal playing volume. Awesome for when you are taking a break while playing a playlist from your phone, and someone wants to talk. No action from your side needed 🙂
When it comes to more bass from 2 subs, yes, this is also true. Also it has a knob on the pannel of the speaker "music mode" that by default should be in the middle, but you can turn to speach (left) to Club (right) so you get more bass from them without needing to change the EQ settings.
Hope this helps. Also, if you don't need more stereo inputs than one for your keyboard, and a bluetooth connection from your phone, you don't need 2 Stagepas 1K MKII speakers, but you can get the Yamaha DXL1K, witch does not have all the functions of the main speaker, but functions as a left (or right, depending on how you adjust witch speaker is the left or right channel) speaker with the same look and music power. It will use the EQ settings from your main Stagepas 1K MKII speaker.
Hope this helps. Also ask yourself if you would only use them in the home, as i see the price has gone way up. I bought them on black friday for close to 1.000€, and now i see them adviced for 1.600€. yes, they are worth it, but only if you can use the extra music power on a venue, as at home, you don't need a combined music power of 2200 watt. But like i said, i love the no fan noice at home, and they sound equally good at low volume as well as high volume. I love them.
      Kind regards, Ronald.
