Thanks, Brother Navi was pastor in Ba, Fiji. Proclaim AV donated the Yamaha system from the video to his ministry. He has since passed on to Heaven. Glad the video was helpful.
Most detailed demo. Thank you so much for taking the time to make this demo. By the way the mixer has 6 channels not 8 because channel 5/6 and 7/8 has common controls.
Agreed. It annoys me that mixer companies have inflated their channel counts by counting stereo channels as two channels but unfortunately that is the case. Thanks for watchin'!
A splendid demonstration brother. It’s strange, our mediation centre has the exact same unit and my name is Navi. I was looking for such a video and when you said brother Navi, I had to go back and listen again to make sure I wasn’t hearing stuff. What a coincidence eh! Thanks brother 🙏🏻
Thank you so mucho for your precise description of the controls. Your voice does help to easily go through the entire video. I own a 400i and I learned more here with you that with the manual itself. Somewhere you mentioned about a subwoofer, which one do you recommend me to have the complete equipment?
Hi Juan, Glad it was helpful. Yamaha makes a nice line of active sub-woofers what should work well with this system. If you setup and tear down a lot I would suggest the DXS12mkII since it only weighs 66 lbs and has integrated wheels.
I have been looking at this stagepas for a while , as im getting older and my gear is getting heavier 🤣 never seem to get a live band playing and demonstrating any gear these days so bit concerned that this would be up for the job but to be fair you are a great explainer and i have learned a lot ,we are a three piece harmony band playing too up to a 50 something more , we have alway sang through 15inch speakers which alway give us a warm blend of harmony. Just wondering what your opinion would be on us buying this set up, i guess it wont be as good to what we have now but i guess its sacrificing i little sound quality or sacrificing my back🤣
Yes, you will lose some low end by switching, however you could add a smaller subwoofer to compensate if you want using the monitor output. I would check out some of the sub /column speaker systems as well. (Like Turbosound Inspire IP500 or similar) The heavy stuff stays on the ground that way. 😆
Hi brother, thanks for this amazing video. I needed a this video where I could see how it works. I have a question for you, the configuration was clear to me, I would like to know if it could be possible to connect a laptop and use this microphone and speaker in a streaming or video call for a presentation.
Thank you for the detailed info. Is there a way to use the line monitor out and feed that into laptop mic input please? What kind of cable would be needed for that please, something that's available on Amazon UK may be? Thanks!
Sure! You need a 1/4" mono to 3.5mm stereo cable. Plug it into your laptop as a "Line In" source. www.amazon.com/Tisino-3-5mm-Stereo-Interconnect-Cable/dp/B07K59LS1N
Thank you for you explanation. I'm just thinking of buying this yamaha system, but I have a question. How to use reverb on wifi microphone because I didn't see any reverb in that channel? Is it possible or not? Thank you.
If your PC has a line in you can use a 1/8" stereo to 1/4" dual mono cable. Google "Hosa CMP-153" If not, try the Behringer Line2USB. In either case simply plug the 1/4 plugs into the "Monitor Out L and R" and the USB or 1/8" stereo in to the laptop.
As per your suggestion I have just got myself a DXS12 subwoofer and a DBX 12 speaker and they sound terrific altogether with the StagePas. I have another question about the red connector cables for left and right . Can I replace them with regular instrument cable? In case I need a longer connection, can I use one for guitar with the same plugs?
Excellent Juan, glad to hear it! While you can use a guitar or instrument cable, I would recommend a speaker cable instead. Check out this part of my Cables and Connectors video ruclips.net/video/hd__UWdowtg/видео.html
Thank you. I’m using one like this for church on Cabo San Lucas mexico. Would like to know how to set up for video broadcast or recording on laptop. Thank you.
Hi Ramon, Using the monitor out jacks is a good way to go. If your laptop has stereo line in then you can use the Hosa-CMP-153 to convert the two 1/4" outputs to 1/8" stereo. If you need to convert it to USB, then you can use something the Behringer Line 2 USB. Hope that helps!
Hi. Great video. I just bought the 400bt for our church. I have been testing it with audio in from different sources and find that the limiter lights do not light up at all regardless of the input volume or speaker volume. Is that normal?
Hi.. Is it possible to connect in-ear monitoring system ? since the 2 monitor out ports support only with powered monitors I am not sure if i can hook up in-ear monitor system. appreciate if you could please help me with this query.
A lot of information thank you brother, for a starter like me it helps me out immensely how much is it the whole system the whole set up that you have there where can I get information on it?
Hi Mark, The Yamaha Stage Pas 400i is available around the web for around $499. The Audio Technica System 10 Lav is about $350. The Sennheiser e835 three pack is about $250. Add cables, speaker stands maybe $250 more? So you're looking at $1400 or so? I highly recomend the great folks at www.sweetwater.com for audio gear purchases. Hi Arden, Yes you can connect this to your TV but only if your TV has an analog output, like a headphone jack or the red and white RCA connections. Hope that helps!
Hi, we're using this for our church, but is there a way for me to connect the 400BT mixer to my laptop so what's heard in the main hall also gets heard on the livestream? Thank you.

I am using a SM57 mic not sure if thats a problem. In any case ive tried troubleshooting but cant get output anyone else have this issue and know how to resolve it?
Hi Brightson, Yes you can connect to an audio interface like the Steinberg. Just use a 1/4" cable from the "Monitor out L" to the interface or for stereo you can use two cables from Monitor Out L and R if your Steinberg has two inputs. Use the "Monitor Out" volume control to adjust your levels. Happy Recording!
In our church we just bought it, but we don’t know how to connect Bluetooth of Stagepas to mobile phone to play worship songs Could u tell me how to connect it dear brother?
