Sorry Guys, had to re-upload this one due to a weird copyright issue with my intro music. 🤔
Do you know if there is a way for a commentator/announcer to to give play by play on a livestream that they are not present at? So we want to livestream our college lacrosse club games. But the announcer will be at home, not at the game.
Check this out - www.tvunetworks.com/products/tvu-remote-commentator/
is there a tester box or tool to check all this? cheers

Sir could you give the basics about digital mixing boards please...you are so cool at explaining 😊😊
Well, I can certainly can do that but there's one problem. I'm not rich and digital mixers are expensive. I don't even own this digital mixer anymore. So the next time I can borrow a digital mixer, there will be another video. 😀
Rode M5 well done Tim keep up the awesome work
Thanks 👍
Rode M5
Good Luck!
Rode M5 Congrats, Tim!! Keep up the great work!
Thanks! 👍
These are great tutorials! I'm new to analog mixing and Behringer, and this answers every question except 1. So, if you're still reading these comments: what is the signal path to use, if I want to get Internal FX into my monitor mix? The manual and other resources give examples for an external FX processor, but not so much about internal FX. Any suggestions?
So unfortunately there is no internal routing of the FX to the Monitors on this board. You could try this work around. Using a TRS to TRS 1/4" cable, patch the FX OUT into the LINE IN on one of your empty Mono channels (let's say channel 8.) Un-assign channel 8 out of Mains. Turn up the gain on Channel 8 to about 12 o'clock. Add what ever you want to FX using AUX 3. Then you can add FX to Aux 1, 2 or 4 using the knobs on Channel 8. Do NOT add channel 8 to Aux 3, because that is the FX bus, so you'll get FX routed to FX which just ends up being a mess - try it and you'll see what I mean. 😛 Happy Routing.
Without a doubt the best and most comprehensive explanation of a mixing desk I've bee able to find. My daughter is just starting singing gigs with a guitarist and their own material. I work in sound as a freelancer in the TV industry and will do her mixing but she also wants to record their music. With this tutorial to help her I'm now confident she'll be ok. Thank you very much.
Thanks! I made it because I was unhappy with other tutorials on RUclips at the time.
Hi Tim, what is the best gooseneck mic for lecterns in your opinion?
In my opinion Earthworks FMR series is the best. My church has had one for many years and it sounds amazing, it's built like a tank and it's available in multiple lengths.
Can you recommend a set of wireless microphones compatible with my Yamaha 600 BT that won't break the bank for karaoke?
Sure! a.co/d/3X2UWBw
Great tutorial.
Thank you!
Are capsules interchangeable? Does Behringer sell replacement filters? Or will the Shure filters work?
No capsules are not interchangeable. Not sure if Behringer sells parts for this but it seems to be a pretty standard size I'm pretty Shure that a Microflex pop screen will work. 😉
Linux has a software solution called PulseEffects / EasyEffects, but I have not yet found a good software like that on Windows. Any suggestions?
Check out Voicemeeter Potato. That might be what you are looking for.
I can relate to so much of what you said. Thank you for your insight.
Glad it was helpful!
I am new to this field and believe me guys, this video was the kind of lesson I was really looking for! Big thanks to the creator of this video presentation and the effort, and the patience😅 in explaining all the buttons & knobs on such an advanced Analogue Mixer! I am sure many beginners will appreciate your video too🎉 Sharing knowledge with true dedication isn’t very common !
Thanks for your kind comment!
well explained. man, thanks for this. very insightful
Super!
I am a DJ and have been looking into going into Digital Mixers and going back and forth on different makes and models. This video was a real big help thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
You are a big deal...
Glad it was helpful. 😀
EV Evolve 50s sound great!
Yes! Evolve 50s are a good option. I also recommend RCF Evox series.
We did portable church for 7 years. Well, actually, it was set-up, tear down full church for 400 people 2x a week. Plus very large meetings 3x a year. In a gym. It got old...long analog snake...ugh
Glad that's over I'm sure. 😁
Im getting input levels with my XLR cables connected go my mic when i talk but no output, volume knobs are turned appropriately and I have it connected directly to the speaker. I am using a SM57 mic not sure if thats a problem. In any case ive tried troubleshooting but cant get output anyone else have this issue and know how to resolve it?
Hmm. These are pretty foolproof. Have you confirmed that the mic is working using another mixer or interface?
Great video. I bought this mixer, and I’m disappointed I can’t do 4 stereo monitor mixes out of the sub outs. I thought these would be associated with the 4 aux knobs on each channel. 😢
Yes, sub outs levels only mirror the main mix. Thanks for watching.
Is there a graphic EQ?
Yes there's a graphic EQ on each output so one for the mains and one for each aux mix. It also has dbx AFS 2 automatic feedback filtering built-in.
@@proclaimav4197 thank you
Tnx for this review! You sing beautiful:)
Thank you so much!
Great tutorial... but am I the only one experiencing reversed stereo channels while listening on my PC? Happens on speakers AND headphones... and yes, I've checked my connections... they're all 3.5mm anyway, and those are polarized TRS connections. It's very odd hearing you say "left, left, left" in my right channel. Just curious.
Yep it's backwards but I'm not pulling down a video with many views to fix it. 😁
You are amazing bro
Thank you so much 😀
please i have a pro fx 16v2 and am trying to record multiple individual tracks , from individual mic from the mixer, how do i go about it
The pro FX 16v2 will only record on stereo track of the mix at a time.
Thank you 😊
Welcome!
Glory be to God! Thanks be to God!
Yes indeed!
It would be good to know where the mixer is situated. Is it in-between the DAW and my Focusrite?
This is more of a live sound mixer and less a recording mixer. I suppose you could put the stereo output into your Focusrite and then record with the DAW.
Excelente
You're welcome!
My Yamaha StagePas 600I has been pretty quiet for the past 6 years. But after I came across this amazingly good and inspiring explanation, it just has to be used again. So this was incredibly helpful. Thank you very much, good teacher. May God bless you and yours abundantly!🥰
Very nice!
My dj controller outputs burnedout. And am thinking of using the Bluetooth xlr from laptop audio. So the audio would come straight from the laptop leading to the xlr Bluetooth device.what do u think
I would be careful about using Bluetooth as there is still some lag in Bluetooth. This could create a problem if you were monitoring the Bluetooth but trying to interact with live music playout. Check out the Radial SB-5 laptop direct box.
I so much like this video it has really helped me do you’ve any socials that I can also follow I want to share my plights with you
I'm on Facebook as well! Proclaim Audio Video.
This is an amazing video, thank you so much!!!!!!
You're so welcome!
I found this and started using it and we have not looked back! I even helped a pastor friend of mine who has no musicians or singers to use this on Sunday mornings for their worship.
Glad to hear it. It's an awesome free program.
I love your hesitance in the beginning
Ummm...... thanks. 😁
Very nice simple walk through thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Ah, the ol' Ui...good choice for the demonstration, Tim. Thanks!
Thanks!
If I wanted to add a subwoofer to a live set up, would I just plug it into one of the monitor/Aux 1/4 outs?
You got it. Then just use that Aux Mix to send the channels you want to your Sub.
@@proclaimav4197 Thank you!
i just got brought on for a theater production that uses a analog board from the 90s that i've never seen before...let's just say I was caught off guard but this video helped me understand a little more and I feel confident going in tomorrow!
Super! Glad it was helpful.
Thanks Tim, had this thing for a while and just needing a few more of the features. You made it super easy to do what I needed to do. Appreciate your help. In Peace, Bob
No prob. 😃
Hi Tim Im trying to sort some IEM out, I’ve got the ui12, I’ve plugged the headphones in the slot on the front but it is really low even with the headphones knob at max, how would I do it in settings to turn it up thanks
A couple ideas. 1. It might be that all your mic gains are too low and your output knob is turned up too high. This will result in low levels. 2. You can use an aux mix out to feed headphones. Check out the Behringer P2. It will let you use an XLR cable from the Aux Output to a mini headphone amp.
also me: Why am I watching this at 03:30am? And why are you posting around 02:30? Get some sleep!
You got me, I'm sound asleep. I just use a timer to publish it. 😛
Great job presenting a complex topic into simple bite size lessons.
Glad it was helpful!
Appreciate the in depth tutorial! Question - if I run the 4 aux sends to a headphone amp, can I use the 4 different aux send tabs to run individual headphone mixes to 4 different people?
You sure can. Then everyone gets what they want in their headphones. 👍
@@proclaimav4197 Thanks so much for your response!
This was a great watch! I appreciate how you explained everything, also that you tinkered with the knobs and we heard it in real time! That was extremely helpful i started it using an analog board but never understood it in depth!
Awesome, I'm happy to hear that. I tried to make it as "hands on" as possible as I learn best by doing. 😃
Does the hdmi let you connect to a monitor? And the usb for a mouse and keyboard for UI16?
At some point they were supposed to be able to do that but they never developed that feature. However, the Big Brother UI 24R will do that. I have mixed on a friend's 24 R using a touchscreen monitor hooked up the HDMI and USB ports.
Thanks for your sharing! It is really helpful. Saved me a lot of time to learn this system!
Glad it helped!
