Great video. Just a couple of additional comments: - The OP is correct to use the CH1 and CH2 output for left and right stereo for his Nord keyboard; however, for users of other keyboards you may only have a keyboard jack socket available, and in this case you'll need to buy a cable with a stereo jack on one end for the keyboard, and two mono 1/4 inch jacks at the other. - On the Stagepas 400 and 600, you can use channel 5/6 as either stereo (two input jacks) or mono (top input jack only). Be sure to set the stereo/mono push button for the channel strip to the desired mode. - Also on the Stagepas 400 and 600, the internal effects are available for channels 1 to 4 only. So anything you plug into the remaining channel strips needs reverb added separately. This isn't a problem for most keyboards. In theory, you could plug the left and right mono plugs into channels 3 and 4, which would allow you to add effects, but you'd lose stereo positioning since there are no pan pots on the mixer. I've overcome this issue with my Stagepas 400BT by getting a separate stereo mixer with effects (Mackie MIX12FX), which I can plug into channel 5/6. This gives me a separate stereo sub-mix with effects at a reasonable price. Another option is the Behringer Xenyx 1202SFX.
Yamaha is amazing I’m about to get the Yamaha stagepas 600BT this week with a dual subwoofer for a lot more bass I’m a dj that’s why but dude that piano music that u started gave me goosebumps it was awesome u should do more piano bro ❤❤ I love this video ❤❤ ik that ur video is about the 400i but I’m getting the 600BT but they are the same just size the new 600 is bigger a bit and it’s louder a bit more and a bit more durable that’s all there is to it other than that it’s all Yamaha love Yamaha they did the best job at making their speakers and stuff equipment all my equipment most of it is from Yamaha I never like to get from other companies that I don’t know but Yamaha is trusted company and their stuff are expensive that’s why they are so trusted by me and millions of other people around the world ❤❤ btw love the video bro keep up the good work
Thank you very much for your kind words! I am still learning how to play more beautifully with the piano. As for getting the 400BT model, it was on sale when I found it so I just went for it. If I probably had extra cash to spare I might have bumped up my selection by going with the 600BT, but so far this system has served me well. I have not used it in a live situation, only at home just so that my Nord will have some form of amplification. And yes, I also trust Yamaha a lot! I owned a number of arranger keyboards from Yamaha, so I surely can agree with you!
Salamat, Bro Johnny! Minsan the best instrument is the one that you have already!
Thinking of buying this as an amp/keyboard monitor for on stage with the benefit of having a small pa option as well; how has it been do you still like it?
Hi there! This system still works great and I still love it! I use it when I practice our Church's praise and worship lineup with my Nord Stage 3 everyday and it has been working flawlessly. I was even able to bring it with me during one of our services and it was adequate for a 100-person room, for it was very portable. No regrets in buying this PA system!
Certainly, this is a big step upwards. You may experience, however, that you are not fully satisfied on the long run. I used my Stagepas 400i with a Nord Stage 3 and wasn't happy. The monitors were lacking a flat frequency response: They didn't do justice to the quality of the Nord piano sounds. I now use a pair of QSC K8.2 and am quiet happy - CP8 would be OK, too. There may be some other products at the price level of the Stagepas 400 which sound much more natural - neither them nor the more expensive have that nice mixing module of the Stagepas series, though.
Thank you very much for your insight on the Stagepas and your recommendations! I do have my eye on a pair of QSCs, particulary the CP8s, but during the time of purchase they were all out of stock. I probably cannot discern just yet how the quality of the piano sounds with these system, but hopefully when funds become readily available again I can grab me a pair of QSCs as I do read how highly recommended they are, especially when using with the Nord. I agree with you that having a mixer with this package is a nice feature, and I am quite happy that not only do I have a pair of speakers to amplify the Nord, but a PA System too that I can use when the need arises.
Hi there! Yes, the PA System has just enough low end for bass. For my personal use, I think adding a subwoofer might be overkill. With the Nord, I get just the right amount of bass. Of course, it is not earth-rumbling as a dedicated subwoofer, but like I said, it gives enough for my needs. Hope that helps!
Hi there! I've only tried it in our living room, which is just average size. It was able to fill the room with sound. I think it will work with the kind of use that you need it for.
Yes, it can. I've been able to carry the NORD to rehearsals a couple of times. The Yamaha PA system is quite bulky and heavy, but it is do-able to bring it as long as there is a vehicle to transport it.
Piano sounds on this Nord sure sounds even more richer not that I use it with these speakers! I find myself losing track of time just noodling around with it. I only have the volume level on the mixer a quarter of the way and even then it still sounds good to my ear! I sure am glad I followed the advice that I've read in the Nord user forum and I got a PA system for amplification.

Awesome. Now I have an idea to set up my Roland FA08 keyboard with the PA system at home
I am sure this system will be a good choice to amplify any keyboard! Good luck and thanks for checking out the video!

I just bought a QSC CP 12. I want to get another, maybe the CP 8, so I may have better stereo for my Yamaha YC piano sounds.
❤
Hi Randy, great video. can i use the Yamaha Stagepass 200 instead of the 400 on the nord stage 3?
Hi there! I think any speaker will do; if you are only using one you will not be getting stereo, though. Good luck!
Nice video thanks!
can i use only 1 speaker instead of one?
