It is so wonderful to see someone investing in downtown Shreveport. This is really exciting news for city. I can remember all the stores like Woolworth, banks, Stan's record store, and other beautiful places that used to be downtown when I was growing up. It would be nice to bring life back to downtown Shreveport again. Hats off to 50. I pray for a beautiful outcome.
He doesn’t have enough real estate pull to have other investors come in. It’s going to take big money and big shots more larger than 50. Investors have already looked at that place and walked away many years ago. 50 is a smart guy. He will probably just become a landlord and rent out the units. Maybe get 7% cap depending on how each building condition is.
He is getting all that to eliminate filming payments to each city for Power he is winning in both way’s also the a mayor will provide all law enforcement for 15 year’s at no extra cost that alone is million’s not being spent
Low costs, able to lease current studios in place, culture and free reign to build downtown without any political interference. Other cities probably would of gave him a hard time. Shreveport is 56% BLK and they seem to embrace him.
