    This was very helpful!! I also did it for my sailor chibi moon wig, and cut the balls in cones, and chibi chibi wig, I cut the balls in hearts, and with my sailor Pluto wig!! I was so happy with my result!! And it is a very smart way of making the buns an exact circle shape!!

    I'm hoping to cosplay Sailor Cosmos one day and trying to work out the wig and I'm so glad I found this video. I will be giving this a try once I can find all the wig pieces I need. Thank you for sharing this.

      glad you asked! add the hair in small thin sections, and hairspray them down (you can use a hairdryer to make them stay) other than that its just practice on how to hold them without disturbing the hair too much. Sorry to hear you're having issues! Good luck! :)

    Hi! I want to style my Hatsune Miku base Wig so it looks more natural when i put the pigtails on. I really need an tutorial for how you made the base wig like here in this video. The hairline at the back looks so good! I don‘t find any video for this at YT.

    • @FaxenCosplay
      @FaxenCosplay  5 лет назад

      Hi there! The base wig is a chibi from arda (epic cosplay has a version too) so they are actually pre-styled like that! I know you can do it yourself too, maybe try looking on other sites like deviant art for some tutorials? I know i've seen at least one before! Anyways, good luck!

    Hellooo i have a question, i really want to try this method because when i buy these type of wigs on chinese sites there is always eiter an inch of my hairline showing in the back or the front, if i would take the 23" would this occur less? I know you are probably not an expert but i thought maybe you could kinda know? This tutorial is very helpfull by the way thank you so much!

    • @FaxenCosplay
      @FaxenCosplay  5 лет назад +1

      Hello! Arda has the larger option for chibi so I would definitely try that out. It's much better for people who have that issue with pigtail wigs. For some people however it still may not fit, so what I have done for clients in that scenario is I add extra hair in the back and curl it to cover the neck hairline. That way it just looks like cute natural baby hairs :) Good luck!

    Is there a different kind of glue that could be used for this style? One that might be a bit more sturdy than hot glue?

    • @FaxenCosplay
      @FaxenCosplay  7 лет назад

      The next best bet I would try is fabritac. That's the only other glue I really use on wigs. It may be trickier though because it takes longer to dry and can be stringy and gooey, so I would go slow. The hot glue had been plenty sturdy in my experience though :)

    • @tellyhime7164
      @tellyhime7164 7 лет назад

      FaxenCosplay Thank you so much for responding. I have had bad luck with hot glue in the past, but I think I will try to use it again and see how successful I am with this wig. Thank you. 😊

      Thank you so much! First I teased them at the base, then I combed the hair gently and put them on larger curlers (cosplay hack: you can totally use like, cardboard toilet paper rolls and just hold/pin them there instead if you don't have curlers) then I hairsprayed and blowdryed the top hair, removed the curlers, and sprayed and blowdryed the hair on the underside, smoothing it all out with a comb. I hope this helped!
