Yep!! If you're a cosplay hoarder you can use the pony tail you chopped off to make other wig add ones with the help of Styrofoam balls, I've made space buns with chopped wig and a foam ball once and it works really well
Typically, if you get a snag you can gently brush it up toward the top, and tuck it under the fibers near the ponytail/bun. If you find yourself needing a major fix, I will typically steam the edge of the bun/ponytail/etc to loosen the hot glue so I can remove it, and then re-brush the base and scoop any loose bits back up into the stub. Then it's just a matter of putting the attachment back on with more hot glue!

I'm curious if there's anything I can do with the chopped off ponytail. cosplay wigs aren't cheap lol so I'd love to find a way to reuse the hair?
