I’m the Trumpet Soloist/screamer in the closer. Best summer of my life. I wasn’t planning on marching in 2011 but Brad Green reached out and asked if I was interested. Hands down one of the best decisions of my life. To play that during the 10th anniversary was Magical.

I have watched this closer a hundred times. Absolutely unbelievable what MS did with this tune. A song I never loved, was sick of hearing, but I have watched this a hundred times in the last few days. So sick!!! Dude at 11:57, left, has my heart. He KNOWS they are kicking ass and he loves it!!!

Powerful and raw ensemble that hits hard together. The show gives features to each of the constituent sections nicely.
It’s old school corps mentality added to Alicia Keys. Nice mix of old and new.
Have to say I love the immediate bass cadence post show.

One of my trumpet students was a rook out with Madison 2011. Talk about getting to be part of such an iconic show that will last forever. This one is in my top 10 list of all time favorite DCI shows. Thanks so much for sharing.

12 and 13 were both pretty great. I kind of fell out of touch with drum corps after that (had kids) so I can't say much about '14-'19. Went to my first show in a decade yesterday and brought the kids, Madison's still got it.
