  • This WheelWise™ Tire Fit Check Mockup Tool acts as a tire simulator that you can put on your car for measuring, to see if the tire will clear your wheel well suspension components and other tire size dimensions.
This tool can be used to verify a specific tire size or determine maximum tire size fitment. It’s also easy to use with a tool-free design, simply loosen the 1/4-20 wingnuts to adjust.
Using a tire simulator in conjunction with our wheel fit simulator provides you with the ultimate tool to confirm wheel sizing and tire sizing for your project vehicle.

Ummm, I think your calculated offset and backspacing is incorrect. Since the measured tire spacing (130 mm) is less than half the tire width (295/2=147.5 mm) your offset should be negative not positive. So the correct offset would be -18 mm and the correct wheel backspacing would be 4.79 in not 6.2 in. The wheel offset formula should be "spacing - tire width/2" not "tire width/2 - spacing".

Nice tool at a fair price but to be honest I would pay extra if there was a app or software to do the math for me.

The math isn't that hard. You have a calculator on your phone.

0.5 inch comes from the wheel lip width. Backspacing is measured from the outside of lip whereas wheel size is measured from the inside of the wheel lip.

@blitzer454 I bought the tool after watching the video and the holes for the studs is not big enough to fit the glc lug studs 🤌🏼

@@diegostevenson4569 Ahhh, I didn't think about that. That is a flaw with this design. In order to get an accurate measurement the stud holes in the tool need to be as close to the stud diameter as possible but since not all vehicles use the same diameter of lug studs this tool would not work for all vehicles as is. You would need to drill the holes until they were just large enough to fit the tool onto the hub. Still not a bad tool for the price, just need to modify it for your own needs and do your own math as I'm pretty sure the math in this video is wrong (see my other post).
