Tiroir !🇧🇪🙏
just discovered this album now but boi..as an "x-musician"...this is truly genuine..I thought I have lost faith in being an artist but this makes it seem worth it again..true "artistship" still stands a chance! :O
Does anyone know what the stacatto synthesized pops/vocal sample in "Être" is from? (1:40) I'm guessing something by Jean-Baptiste Barrière, Robert Ashley, or perhaps Charles Dodge. I know it's from something, but I can't find it...
I was tonight on a concert of Jaar in Kino Šiška in Ljubljana. We treveled there from Zagreb, and even though we are familiar with his new work, we were having this fether of hope that he will start with ambijental/no fucking sense shit and then transgression to a sort of build up and at least one kick. Not one kick came. I tried to go inside people’s head, especially when I catch some girl which was hooked: what is that you are enjoying it, what is that you understand and I can’t. Unfortunately I have to say goodbye to Nicola Jaar, but he influenced my 20s like no one else! (Maybe Trentmoller)
I've understood. If this could consolate you, that comparion was referred only to radiohead's albums post 2010. Ok Computer, Kid A and Amnesiac are over everything, forever ;-)
I can imagine the way people will look at Jaar an his fork in 20, 30 years from now. His artistic journey has just begun and yet you can already see what a breakthrough in music, in sound this album represents. His potential influence is probably enormous
The sounds from 40:00 onwards remind me very much of the voice of No Face from Spirited Away. Anyway, amazing album, such a crisp cleariness of the sound. Very relaxing.

I got ads during such a surreal album experience 👍👍👍how lovely
Whoever mixed this album is a genius.
Shobhit Sharma I think Nico mixed it himself, and the mastering is also great
the Man's a genius, one the greats already at his young age
one of the best albums ive heard in my life, Jaar is a genius. he made this at the same age as im now
prolly my fav electronic album of all time. I listen to this thing at least once a week, such a masterpiece
FUCK yeah
same
After listening this i become one with the universe, thank you Nicolas Jaar!
An unmatched level of refinement
I'm still having trouble grasping the fact that Nico made this when he was just 20 years old. I mean Jesus Christ! What a beast.
Saul Chinchilla Seriously ! haha my god
Geniality has no age :)
you mean "Genius"
"Geniality" means being friendly ;)
That's not a very genius comment
genial*
"The Body in the water" dialogue from Etre, Almost Fell & Specters of the future is from a poet Vito Acconci, special balance in the album's narrative
Thanks! I have, for some time, tried to figure out from where they were obtained.
one of the best electronic debuts ever!
Tengo este exquisito vinilo....gracias !!!

30:00 out of this world poetry, incredibly beautiful.
22:40 THOOOOOOO! OMG this is genius, can't stop listening to this fantastic album
This album just hit my goddamn sweet spot
It's still fresh and beautiful, and it's a shame for the song I Got A Woman to be taken off the album because of copyright issues.
This disc! of 2011 emtra in my list of top 10 of one of the most eclectic of electronic music! PEACE.
very influential album

Otherworldly. Aetheric.
I really want a Jaar x Forest Swords collab!
- in my humble opinion, best Jaar's work so far... so much sentiment in here; flamboyant!
Balance her and Specter are the best masterpiece of this piece How agree?

!.. Fabulous Rhythms ..!
11 minutes through and already in love ahhhh
Best album since 2010 to now, even better than radiohead's albums (and you surely know how much little objective could be a radiohead fan about that)
I think you don't understand. Radiohead is absolutely my favourite band, of all time.
And however, fuck you to.
Radiohead fan is reductive for me :-) (infact in the first post i talk about myself)
However, no problem ;-)
I've understood. If this could consolate you, that comparion was referred only to radiohead's albums post 2010. Ok Computer, Kid A and Amnesiac are over everything, forever ;-)

Génial! Un album clé...
Increíble lo de este muchacho, aplausos. Lo seguimos esperando con ansias en argentina
It's a shame I Got a Woman was cut from the tracklist. That was one the album's best songs.
GOLD.
Obra prima, atemporal.
Exquisito
Is it Godard speaking at the beginning??

Yes Jean Luc & Serge are the French dialogue introduction of Etre

Space is full of noise and we can see
The American voice at the start is Thanissaro Bhikkhu. I think.

Red Right Hand by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds was released in 1994. This album was released in 2011.
Stil.Remains poignant. Curious mix of hope with [not and] despair. Prepositions.
