For the blisters inside your hands, clean with antibacterial soap like Hibiclens, apply some povidone-iodine like Betadine, then apply sterile gauze inside the hand, and wrap it. Take off the gauze and wrapping at night so the wounds dry. Repeat the next day. Should be fine in 2 weeks. 👌
Not ever use betadine on open wounds. It’s terrible for the underlying tissue and will definitely prolong the healing time. Just use soap and warm water, if not that, use benzalkonium chloride.
Austen never hit the walls with his foot first. Used upper body strength. Wow. On the monkey bars, the most important thing is to have a forward, controlled body swing. I use to be good at this type of thing. But now at 79 years old, when I get pumped up to go and do some type of exercise after watching these videos, I go and get a candy bar and rest, the feeling soon goes away .
You guys only did 3 obstacles... There's 9 total at the Rak playground. Now do all 9 of those obstacles 9 times while also running around the Rak pit after each completed obstacle. We call that the tourture course. Take around 1 hour to complete. It's even more fun when it's raining. 101st Screaming Eagles!!! 2-506th Currahee!!!
Dude Austen straight up just doing pull ups over those walls geeze. HOLY SHIT man Austen you CRUSHED that course so hard. I couldn't believe it, insane feat of strength god damn.
Hooah and Ooyah to both of you, great job. An active life is the best life you can live so keep pushing. I put in 8yrs Navy and 4yrs Army before I was forced out. Glad I found the channel!!
I love watching these challenge videos. But it's always fit people taking them on. I'm thinking about starting a second channel where I take on these challenges as a totally normal hefty dude with a gold standard dad bod to prove to the couch warriors who think they can do these.... really can't. lol Good job!
Come do a Spartan Race with me Austin. We'll get ya ready for some OCR. AROO AROO AROO! Edit: Check WoD Preps videos on callous maintenance. If not, buy a cheap pumice stone. Learned callous maintenance from CrossFit. Hope you heal quickly.
I did this course wayyyy back in 2001. It was far harder back then, because you had an instructor screaming in your ear and doing pushups after every obstacle! I think they cut that part out, because the failure rate was HUGE back then. By the time I graduated, I HATED the words Air Assault lol.
Austen: "Let me try this again. I hit it too hard!!" 🤣 love it. Y'all make me want to get in shape and work out like you do. Since the Marines wont take me😪 I too old 😋
Good job on the bars. It’s way harder than it looks expecially if youre over 200. The key is to keep the momentum going forward. If you stop it’s way harder on the grip.
Dude, I was there like six months ago to work on some stuff and make sure it was loaded with the correct configurations for some 35N! Man, how did I miss you out there!! 😂
Thats right by my barracks, thats not the air assault course. Its referred to as RAK playground and theres some trails over there. The actual course is down by the air assault course. However, this course is tough as hell, we did it for platoon PT one day. ⛩
Hey Austen. My recruiter recently told me not many master at arms are officers and that it’s pretty hard to become an officer being an MA is this true ? Would it be tough for you to become an officer currently ?
Seeing those blisters gave me Shills (shitchills) those things hurt like bish!😭 Even worse, having to muster the courage to clean it. Don’t even wanna flex my hands but after the 2nd day it’s not so bad just gotta wait a while for it to heal fully.
This was just the rakkasan obstacle course the air assault course is a little more of a courage course, wish i woulda known you where here hope ya enjoyed it , air assault 😎
When I was younger I’d kill those monkey bars. I actually almost got banned in elementary school because I would be doing all kinds of stuff on the bars with ease that scared the day lights of out of teachers. If you wanted to find me I was on the bars or swing set but usually the bars.
That last obstacle, you called Michael's choice the harder one. I would very much disagree! Sure, his had a slope, but the middle beam, the one you chose, is the harder one because it's thicker and therefore requires much more grip strength and technique to hold onto. The middle one seems like it would feel like a sloper in rock climbing. I did rock climbing for a few years and slopers have always been an impossible endeavor for me.
Little kids seeing the monkey bars
"Hold my juice. I got this"
That truly was a funny comment! 😂 👍
I used to own those monkey bars back when I was a kid, lol.

Aquaphor bro - apply it several times a day and you'll be back on the bar in 2-3 days
His girl is a critical care nurse so I'm sure she'll patch him up proper 😁
What about foot blisters ?
Not ever use betadine on open wounds. It’s terrible for the underlying tissue and will definitely prolong the healing time. Just use soap and warm water, if not that, use benzalkonium chloride.
No, not Betadine. That stuff dries out your hands.

Rakkasan.
And I’m supposed to believe the women are being held to the same standards? Nope not happening.
Is it at Campbell?
Well you both did it a million times faster than I could have... nice job Austin .. ain’t no shame in trying something new AND completing it
Dude Austen straight up just doing pull ups over those walls geeze. HOLY SHIT man Austen you CRUSHED that course so hard. I couldn't believe it, insane feat of strength god damn.
Bro I struggled with the monkey bars in BCT so watching level hard brought the memories back
Hooah and Ooyah to both of you, great job. An active life is the best life you can live so keep pushing. I put in 8yrs Navy and 4yrs Army before I was forced out. Glad I found the channel!!
Perfect video to watch well on HW break
This is nothing like the actual Air Assault obstacle course from what I've seen. My son just did it last week.
Definitely a challenge to learn the little tricks in completing in this challenges.
I pass by this course every day to work! I just got stationed at Fort Campbell about a month ago.
Michael killed it.

I watch the michael eckert vids and that guy is an absolute beast when it comes to fitness and strength training.

Rakkasans! I still see Torii's everywhere - even in my dreams.
Using the rope on the transition like you did was exactly what I was thinking when he said it'd make the transition harder using the bars. Nice call.
Micheal made that course look like a kid's adventure playground in the local park
I did this course wayyyy back in 2001. It was far harder back then, because you had an instructor screaming in your ear and doing pushups after every obstacle! I think they cut that part out, because the failure rate was HUGE back then. By the time I graduated, I HATED the words Air Assault lol.
Nah, I did it in 2013 and after every obstacle you were getting the piss smoked out of you.
Good freakin stuff brother 💪
Thanks for taking it easy on me
Rip the shoulders and hands after the climbing bars 😂
Awesomeness is borned
Oh my gosh! I love Michael I’ve been following him on Instagram for like 5 years. He does calisthenics so I figured he would kill this course
I want to go too, but I live here in Brazil! You're amazing 🔥🔥👏
Austen: "Let me try this again. I hit it too hard!!" 🤣 love it.
Y'all make me want to get in shape and work out like you do. Since the Marines wont take me😪 I too old 😋
Epic duo 🇺🇸 dem hands doe 🥲
The last course was pretty tough. You need a lot more grip strength for that. Great video!
Hey babe you're doing pretty good you're doing better than what I would have done
Good job on the bars. It’s way harder than it looks expecially if youre over 200. The key is to keep the momentum going forward. If you stop it’s way harder on the grip.
U can do it yes u can austen come on
Debating distance in yards and feet, no idea what it means except for it's long.

It's RAKKASANS, a name given by the Japanese. They didn't have a word for paratroopers so they called the "Umbrella Men" RAKKASANS.
He’s got this
IRON RAKASAN. CHOPP BABY!!!
Ngl ur facial hair makes u look like a potential main character for RED DEAD REDEMPTION 😆
Oy... The camera work is giving me a headache. Lol
But DAMN. that hard obstacle looks HARD!!!!
I know this is the rakkasan playground but do the real air assault obstacle course after your 2 mile run and 30 min smokes session in the rock pit.
Dude, I was there like six months ago to work on some stuff and make sure it was loaded with the correct configurations for some 35N! Man, how did I miss you out there!! 😂
If you are wondering 21 B.E.B. 3RD BCT A CO Was my unit until March of 2022

Thats right by my barracks, thats not the air assault course. Its referred to as RAK playground and theres some trails over there. The actual course is down by the air assault course. However, this course is tough as hell, we did it for platoon PT one day. ⛩

Looks like they have a few new obstacles since I went through in 91 at 101st.
Yeah Air Assault School was no joke.
AIR ASSAULT!!
I feel like you should've hybrid. Yoo many hand work outs
I would like to try these courses out they look very interesting.
Austen against Diamond Ott i would love to see that
That's how my hands used to look like after gymnastics 😩
Doesn’t David Goggins hold the most pull up’s in under 24 hours?
I wanna try this so bad, argh!
Try a true OCR obstacle! There you meet a real challenge.
Hey Austen. My recruiter recently told me not many master at arms are officers and that it’s pretty hard to become an officer being an MA is this true ? Would it be tough for you to become an officer currently ?
This isnt the Air Assault O-Course. It the Rakkasan play ground.
This wasn't the air assault course I remember being at ft Campbell. And there was more
Seeing those blisters gave me Shills (shitchills) those things hurt like bish!😭 Even worse, having to muster the courage to clean it. Don’t even wanna flex my hands but after the 2nd day it’s not so bad just gotta wait a while for it to heal fully.
Good old rak playground
he reminds me of the dude from wolfenstein
Which is the most difficult test you have ever taken
Air Assault was a nice vacation from my unit.
Come try P Coy mate.
Austen 316!
wew lad
Goggins says not a chance on the pull-up record.
This was a riot when it went through 1984,
This was just the rakkasan obstacle course the air assault course is a little more of a courage course, wish i woulda known you where here hope ya enjoyed it , air assault 😎
You guys are supposed to be doing these in uniform tops and bottoms!
When I was younger I’d kill those monkey bars. I actually almost got banned in elementary school because I would be doing all kinds of stuff on the bars with ease that scared the day lights of out of teachers. If you wanted to find me I was on the bars or swing set but usually the bars.
I’m a gymnast, and that’s what our hands go through… a lot.
Good job mybelovesone
Rakkasan ⛩

I don't remember some of these obstacles
