    I was going to buy the Powertec because it was cheaper than the Bodysolid and I have several Powertec pieces any I like their quality. But The specs were better on the Body Solid. I saw one on eBay with “Make Offer” activated so I offered $1000 and it was accepted (one the largest Body Solid resellers in the US). I am glad I did as it is definitely more solid than the Powertec and Titan version. It has 300lbs more capacity, runs on linear bearings so there is not nearly the amount of wobble. The foot plate is designed to not need the wobbly calf block, and the spring on the safety catch does not rub on the frame.

      You made a great purchase, Bodysolid is the most commercial brand. 1000 is a great price, the powertec tends to screech sometimes when loaded with plates. Thank you for watching Mac!

      Did you buy the BS compact leg sled or the hack squat? This review keeps referring to the machine as a hack squat but it's actually a compact leg sled, thanks

      I got the BS one after testing it out at the store. Smooth, it looks and feels heavy duty, I was also considering the powertec but glad I went with the higher capacity

      Thank you :) I bought black rubber mats for every piece of equipment I have. Most from workout stores there Treadmill / bike mats. Amazon has these too, but some are a little too thick these are 1/4” thick.

    I agree with this video poster, he is exactly right about the Hack Squat/Leg Press, I have one from Titanium Strength from 3 years ago, and while it looks cool and has helped me build more muscular legs, the weight on the shoulders is annoyingly painful over time. There is ample cushion on the shoulder pads, but the heavier you go, it leaves ‘red skin marks’ on your shoulders. It’s minor, but it’s gets more annoying over time 😢
    I’m considering now to get the Linear Squat Machine = focus all weight on legs, most comfortable and more affordable than the Hack Squat/Leg Press combo.

      I saw the darn sled slipped off from the top portion to the bottom portion because the hook is defected on another Titan version video... Have you experienced any problems like this?

      I didn’t hear about the Titan having this, was actually having buyer’s remorse for not going with Titan.

    Did you put it together yourself or have help? I’m nervous form all the horror comments I’ve read about building it

      I put it together myself, no one helped. Gliding seat is the only part that is hard. Just take your time and follow directions. The spring that locks on the bottom is impossible to fit inside the hole, it’s not necessary to have it hooked to anything. Just give yourself a few hours and you’ll be ok :)

    how would you compare this to their leverage squat machine? also, does this compact leg sled provide full range of motion for someone who is 6 feet or taller?

    • @PDX7
      @PDX7  Год назад +1

      It’s easier on my back opposed to doing squats, have that back support. If you leave calf block on and push from that height you’ll have added range of motion for height, you’ll come down further. Any of these compact leg presses that have a calf block will be great.

    Any strain on the lower back hips?

    • @PDX7
      @PDX7  Год назад +1

      None and lower back especially for me is a weakness. It’s a good machine, makes doing legs a little more fun sometimes :)
      Thanks for watching Honeybadger!

    Do not do ass to grass squats or leg presses. Too much strain on the knees particularly using any significant weight. Always press or squat fully planted feet. It would be bad news if your feet slipped off the block pressing 400 lbs.
