that'a the first think came to my mind!! lol, I had a season where I was trying to be as fast and explosive with my knee cut, but it ended up in some accidents lol

Been working on this for the last three months, and it’s been coming together in training lately. Thanks for the best BJJ instructional content on the whole interwebs.
Your videos and guests are awesome. But the sound has room for improvement. When John Danaher speaks for example you can barely hear what he is saying.
I could explain in deep Detail, but suggest that you are new to jiu jitsu. Watch Bernardo. He is lying on the ground, right? The First defense is to have a seated guard. Against a seated guard a knee Slide is useless. A lying guard is last Resort always.
Great pass. Learned it when this vid came out and I’ve been using it ever since. I’ve also managed to get it on guys who are attempting to pull a lazy half guard
Not sure which pant leg/ area grab you're referring to, but IMO, the force of the knee slice generates more than enough power to remove opponent's pants grip-- large muscle groups (of your legs and hips) vs small muscle groups (foes forearm and wrist) plus you have gravity and momentum on your side. My main thought is ensure you aren't diving straight into their sweep if they are baiting/ loading up a sacrifice sweep/ throw like Tomo Nage. Also could consider quickly transitioning to chain a slightly different guard pass if their attempt at a defense presents a different opening. TLDR; without knowing exactly what you mean, have a good, balanced base, and you should be fine. However you can always look to exploit the opening your opponent provides with a different movement and go path of least resistance. Lastly, this is almost half a year old, so maybe you figured it out on your own already haha
Many players follow Leandro Lo's knee slide pass in the same way. Jon Thomas became famous because he delivered Leandro Law's technical system in English. Leandro Lo is the legendary player who has technically been the most influential player in modern Jiu-Jitsu.
Not Going to brag, but Jon Thomas has had videos quite like this before and they are actually just studies about Lo passing so dunno, title might be a little clickbaity...also to be an overly accurate a** id say it took him 2Min40 which is quite slow :D But keep it going, i like Wiltse`s stuff ;-)
Idk why but all I want is some Panda Express right now
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Same.
This video will result in a 10% increase in guard pass success vs de la Riva and 20% increase in nuts getting cracked in open guard.
That's what they get. F open guard.
ah, nut cup
Everyone’s going to have a painful open guard day tomorrow.
Lmao
My favorite part of all these vids is always the first time Bernardo says, "That's amazing".
5 people disliked this video they were knee sliced shortly later😂
Beautiful. The details on getting the underhook and beating a partial knee shield are pure 🥇
Thumbnail reminded of Jon Thomas, and damn, it was nice to hear that it's who he learned it from)
This is similar to Leandro Lo's knee cut
It definitely will crack some nuts by accident 😂

@@l.em.t3819 I’ve been hitting this lately. Can safely say I’ve bruised way more sternums than I have scrotums.

I love the way Bernardo explains it really sinks into my mind.

This is pretty neat. Again and again, the basics at master level change everything.
How nice to see Bernardo`s English getting better and better!
Andrew wilte is such a beast. Great teacher also. Amazing stuff 💪👍
Ya it's surprising how good he is at explaining
Sick pass! Love how excited you are about this Bernardo!!
This is solid. As opposed to pinning his non-dela riva leg. And sliding through that thigh.
If you don't get at least 4 black eyes a year, do you even jiu-jitsu???
Bernardo "Man that's amazing" Faria
He's a good audience. Dude is who everyone should have as a dad.
Your videos and guests are awesome. But the sound has room for improvement. When John Danaher speaks for example you can barely hear what he is saying.
“Dees ees grate.” -the nicest killer ever.
WTF!!! So fast I had to slow it down....!
Where do I get those really short gi bottoms like Bernardo??
the volume on your outro is loud af
My next purchase
Is this guy the owner of the gi brand he uses..? Why the hell he has that symbol tatooed on his chest? Bizarre.
It's pretty much the Leandro Lo kneecut?
It sure seems like it. BJJ scout has the video on it.
Exactly !
Andrew I think is a great fan of Leandro Lo!
@@masterlessbjj1486 he said he learned it from Jonathan Thomas and Thomas is referencing Leandro Lo a lot in his videos.
is it me or does he have a shoyroll tat on his chest
He does for when they sponsored him
I have a few reasons for it 🙂
Leandro Lo style.
Def going to play with this!
I wish I would have watched this last night. Monday, ITS ON! 😎😂
Andrew is putting out some wicked content 🤙

Thank you for sharing this technique, Osu!
He’s genuinely impressed.
Can we get the defense for it too?¿ 🥺

Man I hope I can add this to my game (50 year old one stripe white belt here)
What about if they grab the pants instead of the ankle?

That’s amazing 😊
amazing
Leandro lo’s knee slice here
OMG, I still don't know how to do this safely after re-watching many times.
@Alvin Walker if they want to put their nuts in the way of my knee, who am I to stop them?
@@mxu111 i even find it useful to ask them if they're ok. All the while using the short break time to get close to a crossface

I'm pretty open about how Jon Thomas is the one who got me doing this variation as a blue belt. He's a wealth of technical knowledge
