@@donutdrums I never get tired of it bud ... a few logistical questions ... I have my hi-hat on the other side of the post, wondering how you make it work on the near side? I tried it that way but find it too close to the snare and tom pads ... and I noticed your kick pad really wobbling when you strike it, mine stays pretty stationery ... anyway, I dig watching you play this kit, wish you would have gone on longer ...
+Mark Uribe I use direct audio from 1/4" cables that plug into a interface which then plugs into my computer. I kind of explain a little bit of it in this video ruclips.net/video/sqh_Y384shk/видео.html I also have been using a midi cable to record more recently. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions!
+Mark Uribe Only with direct audio are the sounds coming from the td-9. I use superior drummer for the sounds when using midi. No worries! Your English is great :D
All Roland v-drums use completely synthesized sounds. Machine gunning comes from a lack of variation in sounds. The td-09 helps machine gunning a little bit (moreso than the really cheap td-01k for example), but not enough in my opinion. Basically because, there are a lot of physics involved when you hit a drum and it is hard for something to emulate the really minute changes that come from hitting something in a slightly different place, at a slightly different angle. Plus there is a lack of sensors for this information as well - the td-09 accepts only velocity information and does not take into account _where_ on the pad or cymbal you are hitting, whereas more expensive and newer models do.
Is the difference in sound between TD-9 and TD-11 like night and day? Because right now I have the option of getting a cheaper TD-9 but with rubber toms or a TD-11 with all mesh pads and KD-9 kick. Please help 😥
You should be able to use your double kick pedal. The kick drum pad is big enough for two beaters but it really depends on your pedal mount. My Axis pedals have a slightly offset mount that connects the pedal to the kick drum so I had some issues with the beater hitting the plastic edge of the drum. I eventually upgraded to a bigger kick drum but it really wasn't that big of an issue. Hope this helps.
Same. It does sound great. I still use the sounds to this day. As far as downloading them. I'm not sure, I've never tried. Maybe someone somewhere has done it.
no you cant - sorry. You cant customise TD1 sounds - you would have to upgrade your module to something like the TD9 or TD17 for better sounds, and whilst u are at it grab a 3 zone ride :D - coming from a previous TD1 owner, now i have a TD17 and it is WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY better.
+ScaraRock I wouldn't say they are worse. I haven't had much experience with Yamaha's sets. I know they put out some great kits and they have some fantastic sounds. And for Roland. I've been using their kits for years and never really disliked anything about them. They are pretty much the only electronic sets I've ever needed. I wish I knew more about the Yamaha kits. I hope this helped a little.
Great video man, I have a TD-9 and I watch this over & over again ...
Glad you enjoyed it!

I think jazz setting sounds a lot better than vtour. I just joined my church's band as their new drummer and they have this kit.
Very cool! Congrats!!
Haha you could make buckets and metal trash can lids sound great ! Excellent percussion skills !!
It sounds similar to my TD 11 but probably has more sounds

thanks I buy the td-9 in my country , or maybe buy the td-11kv :)
Where does the machine gun effect come from? Is that the triggering, the sound module, the samplings ?

I was thinking about buying kit like this, but I was thinking about, can I use my regular doubel kicker on that? or do -i need to buy a special one

is the kick drum loud? Like, could your neighbors hear it?
Downstairs neighbors possibly. There is very noticeable impact sound.
I really love the sounds this kit has. Can i download presets like these and play them on a different kit? Say the td-1?
Same. It does sound great. I still use the sounds to this day. As far as downloading them. I'm not sure, I've never tried. Maybe someone somewhere has done it.

How many pedals for bass?
Two
Hi, what do you think about Roland TD-11kv? VS. TD9 ?
td9 module sounds better
Td11 sounds better. More realistic snare sound and strach on toms
Attack on toms,not strach...
Which td9 was it?
TD-9K2
I wanted to buy a drum kit, do you think yamaha is worse than roland?

DonutDrums Thank you so much. This answer and your video about the trick and tips for recording helped me so much! :)
+ScaraRock No problem! Glad I could help!
